What is : Imputed Righteousness

I've heard this umpteenth times, but never read it in the Bible.

What God does with us in Christ Jesus, is wash away all sinning, to justify us by works of His righteousness.

None. He was made to be sinned against unto death of the cross by the will of the Father.

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

That His death might pay the price of death for our past repented sins for His sake, And so be now made His sons doing His righteousness.

The whole surface faith religion of somehow being made 'inwardly' righteous, while doing unrighteousness is a fraud.

Pharisees can be outwardly righteous while inwardly corrupt. But there is no such thing as being outwardly unrighteous and inwardly pure.

All His, if we repent of all our transgressions.

None of His if we repent not, or only in part, and gradually at our leisure.

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

What God does with us in Christ Jesus, is wash away all sinning, to justify us...
This is quite mistaken. To be put in Christ is to have his life and sacrifice credited to us (you have already failed to grasp that term). It is not all sinning, for sure. Justification is not a life experience; it is the declaration of Judge who has a 3rd party reason to justify a criminal. Our 3rd Party is Christ.

Last year at our church a man stood up to challenge the pastor and said that he himself had not sinned for 3 years. Sounds like you! (Apparently it is not a sin to disrupt a pastor!) He collapsed and was helped out. It was pathetic.

He was made to be sinned against unto death
Nope, you don't know the verse. You don't know crediting/imputing. That is not at all what the verse is saying, grammatically or otherwise. The tense is not passive.

His sons doing His righteousness
To be in the righteousness of God in Christ is not first in our experience; it is about the past debt. It is a credited amount, like a life insurance amount that you are waiting for at death. You know of it and it is motivating and inspiring, but it is not your behavior.

No human can do what Rom 3:21-26 is about. Only God in Christ.

of somehow being made 'inwardly' righteous,
See? You have missed everything I've said. I have been showing that it is an objective thing, and you still after 3 days think it is inward. The terms credit, account, impute, reckon, transfer are all bookkeeping terms.

there is no such thing as being outwardly...
That's right and I'm not talking about that. I have given you some 8 examples of imputation and you still don't grasp what realm it belongs to. A person does not atone for their own sins by their good acts now. It takes a 3rd Party person and He must be infinite, Ie, God, to make the payment.

All His, if we
the whole point of the two transactions there is that the party does not have the other quality. Christ has no sin. We do not have righteousness. Nor did Christ perform any. We do not perform any to be justified. It is a declaration by God because a 3rd Party (Christ) has paid.

Yes we should keep repenting of sins. and not be perfectionist. Did you sin this past year or only 3 years ago?

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
No washing without sanctification and no sanctification without justification.

God always has a way of exposing any error of man's doctrine. There's always one single verse putting any argument to rest.

The skin deep faith religion of separating works from being justified 'inwardly' is false. What we see is obvious efforts to say otherwise, so that even sanctification and justification must be separated also.

You did not notice the grammar; there is no cause and effect link. He's just saying these things happened to them collectively in the past. You have not addressed the real question of the meaning of imputation, which this thread is about.

When you study the full range of scripture you see the difference. I know only one 'sanctification' line in Roman 1-5, so get ready to reject Romans 1-5 with your system!. Then ch 6 is all about that. Then ch 7 is about the failures common to mortal man, the body of this death. Then ch 8 is the great news that God's justifying declaration can cover ch 7 failures (thank God!). That's why good teachers do not rely on one single text nor isolated references, but look for whole chunks. Proof-texting is amateur.

Justification is God's work for us in Christ about sin-debt, historic and infinite.
Transformation is God's work in us by the Spirit about sinning, ongoing and incomplete.

Chads could talk through Peters failures—the one in Gal 2 also?

Have a nice life it seems that you believe you are all set~for you said: "Yes I am. I'm walking with Jesus with a pure heart, and sinning not."
Thanks. Living godly is not only better than sinfully in this life, but also in the next.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

If you want to remain with your old lusting heart and sinning, then that's your right and choice. Enjoy it to the end as much as you can.

Transformation is God's work in us by the Spirit about sinning, ongoing and incomplete.
A precise example of what I've said all along about changing the mind about sin, but not changing the heart from sinning. I'll use it, thanks.

There's a movie once made about the "Children of a lesser god". You preach his lesser gospel just fine.

I can preach it to: Believe unto salvation and repent at leisure down the road.

Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls:

God is not served by the dying hands as a will of mankind. God does all the work of turning us to hear and do his good will.

Works according to his deeds. He performs that which he appoints to us (Job 23) no man can turn Him. Yoked with him our burdens are lighter

Job 23:13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:

There is no work dying mankind can do outwardly to those dead in their trespass and sin without power to repent. (turn)

If you need something to make you feel saved. . Just say you read the Bible.

There are two turning in order to repent the creatures. First not accustomed to hearing the gospel the word of salvation .(1) God gives us ears to hear. Once we have heard he (2) empowers us to it to his good pleasure. Both hear and do one work

Jeremiah 31:18I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: (one) turn thou me, and I shall be (2) turned; (power of commandment )for thou art the Lord my God. (Powerful enough to turn) Surely after that I was turned, (By God) I repented; and after that I was instructed,( By God) I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
Why are so many words used just to avoid a simple point?

Nowhere in the Bible does God ever say repenting is of 'unbelief' nor of 'the mind' nor of 'thoughts'. The only repentance God speaks of in the Bible is of works and deeds.

Without repenting of sins and trespasses first, the life is still filthy rags to God. Religious sinning doesn't make it any better.

Hi thanks I see that a little differently. it does not take away the simplicity of the gospel. Christ saves dying mankind.

If God was served by the hands of dying mankind, then could be true.

New creation not a rebuilt-on trial . A new creation is new, the old is dead .

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

I would offer. No where in the bible does it say dead men must do the first works to decide their own eternal destiny.

That I believe would support some of the Nicolaitanes that venerated the speaker (Nick ) and not the authority of the word of our unseen God,

The Spirit of Christ called them to repent again and again like he did in salvation empowering them to believe and do the first works of God working in us both hear and do the good will of God. Jesus did the will of the father with delight some murmur.

Revelation 2:3-7 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; (Believe God not seen) or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God

Explain why a woman walked away from Jesus because she believed she had to clean up her life first before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ.
Because she didn't want to repent of her sinning.

Any person can clean up their lives and have done so for many reasons, but they are all for corruptible crowns, if not for Jesus' sake.
What does that tell you? That she wants to repent but has trouble repenting

There are many double hearted sinners in the world, whether religious or not.
and she is dismayed that she has to wait for salvation until she does break her habits of sinning.
God is dismayed that He must still wait for transgressors to repent, that He may forgive the past and give a whole new heart and life.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

So I told her she can come to Jesus Christ as she is and that He will deliver her from her sins and not just give her eternal life.
Not all her sinning according to your religion. You taught her how to just believe she is saved, and let some repenting come at her leisure.

She did not believe me. The next day, she had talked to someone else and she declared that I was right

Good job.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

and there was joy of the Lord in her.
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

The Krishna's have happy hearts too.

You, yourself testified that you knew of sinners being delivered from their sins that have no more trouble with that sin and yet you fail to connect what I am saying here.
I preach the Bible pure religion of repenting by commandment of all sins and trespasses. Your religion has partial deliverance only by feeling, not by commandment.

But not all believers are free of habitual sins for why they can go to Him daily trusting him
to lead them away from temptation & delivering them from the evil one,
As I said, your gospel of beleiving to be saved while trespassing against God. And let repenting be at it's own leisurely time.

It's the gospel of self-will: old unrepented lusting hearts, only repenting to clean up some living in their own good time.

I am surprised you have not called "foul" when God the Father sent the Holy Spirit on the Gentiles for believing in Him for the remission of sins.
Remission of past sins is only them that repent of all transgressions according to the commandment of God.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Your foul ball gospel is beleiving in being saved first, then do some cleaning up later at your own will.
Seeing how our believing in Jesus Christ is the work of the Father
Having the faith of Jesus is the work of the Spirit given with a new heart and life, and only to them that repent of all their sins and trespasses.

The Spirit does not give Jesus' saving faith to any old heart of lust. Those refusing to repent of all their transgressions don't want a whole new heart and life given freely by God.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Those who are offended at a commandment demand to repent now, don't want pure religion of God, but your smooth religion.

They don't believe in obeying any commandment of law. They're all about 'grace' of convenience. It's still their own life. They only do such things when they feel like, not because someone told them to.

Religion of man is repenting partially in one's own good time.

is why we are saved by grace
The smooth religion of convenient grace.

and not be anyone's professed deeds of repentance from all sins.
Of course you're not. I never said you anyone else was saved by my repenting from all my transgressions.

I am not saying that there is no repentance after salvation
Of course not. There are some Christians that say no repentance is needed at all. But that's not you. You're the partial kind from time to time.

Once repentance is placed after salvation by faith alone, it's exactly as you have said: you will certainly repent in part down the road, but never ever repent of all by commandment of God, and cease the sinning at any time.

That is what running that race as His disciple is about.
No old unrepented lusting heart is running the race of Jesus Christ, nor is a disciple walking with Him.

The only ones running His righteous race as His righteous disciples, are those that obey God's commandment to repent of all sinning, and are given the promised new heart, life, and Spirit of Christ with all things now of God.

The unrepented are not running the godly race, nor are godly disciples of the true God Jesus Christ.

A precise example of what I've said all along about changing the mind about sin, but not changing the heart from sinning. I'll use it, thanks.

I can preach it to: Believe unto salvation and repent at leisure down the road.

Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls:

The grace of God leads us to repentance, Rom 2. I have never said otherwise.

If you are here to ''create enemies" that is the flesh and you should leave.

The fact is, you simply don't understand the term this thread is about.

How are you doing on Peter? Have you condemned him? Why not?

Oh come on. He was crucified for the charge of blasphemy for declaring Himself to be God as in the actual Son of the living God therefore the sin is they did not believe in Him for why they had Him crucified.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him

Your problem of continued erring with the Scriptures, is because you just preach what you want to believe and hear.

They knew who He was. They just didn't like His message, because they refused, like yourself, to repent of their lust and deeds, and cleanse it all out at once.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

So the call to repentance from unbelief in Him is by believing in Him.
Your call, not mine.

Nowhere does God in the Bible ever speak of repenting of unbelief, the mind, nor thoughts. Only of deeds.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Of those that know what sin is doing in their lives as they hate what it is doing in their lives,
Changing the mind about sinning and hating it while sinning is not enough with God. Repenting of the sinning by grace is enough for God, since His own dear Son died on a cross, in order to forgive all the past sinning.

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

With God, repenting is of works, and hating sin is not doing it.

You preach a gospel for hearers only, who do not the commandment to repent of all sins now, but only now have a change of mind about sinning.

It's the gospel of hating it while sinning, rather than loving it, and so sinning less than before.

Reads like you are the one making the case for it in regards to salvation; as you have been arguing against believing in Him is not enough for salvation.
Changing what someone teaches, to make it false, is usually the M.O. of those that change what the Bible says to make their own stuff true.

It doesn't work in either case.

Why are so many words used just to avoid a simple point?

This is a very important point: Luther once said, you can't keep the starlings from circling your head, but you can keep them from landing. Ghada is condemning anyone who has them circling over their head, which is just ordinary human experience. Because Ghada is the only expert on perfect righteousness.
