What is : Imputed Righteousness

How are you doing on Peter? Have you condemned him? Why not?

If they repented from all dead works, have they reached their perfection yet?
Since you don't preach repenting of all dead works, then you wouldn't know.

So discipleship is an ongoing work of the Lord in us after salvation.
Disciples are those with a whole new heart and clean life of Christ, once repenting of all our dead works.

Discipleship of Jesus Christ is not learning how to sin less, but how to always obey and sin not.

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Though we are sons, we must learn obedience in all things to sin not, even as the Son.

Even as the Son, we learn how to keep obedience to God through all temptation and tribulation. It's learning to keep our hearts and life blameless through all things.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

We know that whosoever is born of God is not sinning; but he that is begotten of God is keeping himself, and that wicked one is touching him not.

Those being disobedient are out of the race and discipleship of Christ, unless they repent.

Those that are aware of the immediate deliverance of habitual sins, may find other sins that His words will reprove them of for doing, like lusting after a married woman even though you are not committing adultery with her, BUT that is already committing adultery in your heart in according to His words. See?
Repenting of outward sinning begins with repenting of lusting first.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Repenting of outward works only, is Phariseeism with an old heart of lust.

The faith, Spirit, heart, and new life of Christ is not given to any old heart of lust.

All religions of men preach outward repentance and conformity only. Pnly the pure religion of Jesus preaches to repent of lusting and cleanse within first:

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever

Then explain the difference in how the Jews received their remission of sins and the Gentiles.
The people of God in the OT didn't have remission of all past sins, but only covered by blood of animals, until the time of reformation in Christ Jesus.

Now any person can repent of all past sins for Jesus's sake, and have all their old sins remitted and washed away.

Those Christians that preach ongoing sins are still only covered, until they get around to repenting, are perverting the blood of the Lamb as that of bull and goats only.

Then apply John 1:12-13 to what you are preaching about needing to repent from all sins in order to be saved.
First we start with Bible proof of one or two verses, then we go on with the truth to rightly divide all other verses:

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

In God's gospel we see how repenting always precedes salvation, conversion, and faith toward God.

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

In God's commandment to repent, it's of all our sins and trespasses.

For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Since salvation is now at once, and not gradual, then so is repentance of all sinning commanded now and not gradually.
Now that we have established the simple truth of the Bible, we look at John 1:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Only those that do obey and repent of all our transgressions receive Christ and are newborn of God.

it's not the will of sinful man to repent of his own sinning, but only the will of God that man must obey to do so, and receive His Son unto life.

We cannot repent of sins for our own reason, nor will God to live in us by our own power.

We have to be born again of the Spirit with Jesus Christ in us to even begin running that race in living a life of repentance daily
Correct. We must repent first to be cleansed within and without by the Spirit, to begin running the holy race in living the life of God's holiness.

That life is of keeping repentance, not of sinning and repenting daily. Sinning and repenting daily is called double heartedness, that is delivered from by repenting of lusting once for all.

in walking in the light with the Father & the Son.
No one while sinning in darkness is walking in the true light of God.

Salvation is separate from discipleship and sinners need to know that whatever sins has dominion over their lives; they can hope in Jesus to deliver them from their sins and not just for eternal life by believing in Him..
Pharisee surface religion separates our souls from the works we do. The works don't judge the soul, and so the works are not from the heart.

They're the fruit-shows to please men only, not to be judged and justified by God.

You still don't understand the term justified here. It is not a behavioral change, it causes one. Cause and effect are two different things. Justified is maybe best understood by placing "from" after it. We are justified from our sins (their impact on our account). The Person in charge of accounts is the only One who can make changes of that kind.

Justification is a gift that causes many effects/impacts in our lives. But it is not an effect/impact itself.

How are you coming on Peter's failures? Have you condemned him yet, too? Why not?

Hey Ghada, if you had any experience with people, you know that at first there are things that they do that they don't even know are sin. It can take a while.

God's gospel is that God made Jesus to be sin by imputation (he didn't actually sin), so we could have the righteousness of God imputed to us (we don't become perfectly righteous). You are talking about after effects as though they were that same historic event.

Instructions to us about what to do because the Gospel is true are not the Gospel.

The verses you used are for discipleship.
Repentance is unto salvation.

They do not testify that by doing those things will earn you salvation but by going unto perfection.

Repentance doesn't earn anything. It's by grace that God now forgives all past repented sinning.
Here is your reference again;

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Then you said this:

"Having our minds changed about sin and God by hearing the word, is being a hearer only. Repenting with the heart from sinning against God, is doing the word."

To wit now I see why you are using that reference and therefore misapplying what that verse is to mean.

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

You are seeing dead works as sins.
That's because God is.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Paul is writing to the Hebrew as in Jews that believe in Jesus Christ.
Paul is an apostle of Jesus Christ sent to all men. He writes to all Christians that believe.

The dead works for obtaining righteousness by the law is dead.
Dead works are unrighteous works of the flesh, as well as all good works seeking to be justified by them, while also walking after the flesh.

They are the filthy works of our own righteousness. Men's religions preach doing both good and evil, but gradually less evil that good.

The Christian religion does the same. It's called 'progressive' sanctification from sinning, with gradual repentance from dead works when down the road.

For Jews... repenting from trying to earn salvation by keeping the laws of Moses by believing in Jesus Christ.
For Christians, it's trying to earn salvation by keeping the laws of Christ.

Both are without pure hearts first.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

I appreciate you responding to my specific point. Thanks.

You preach believe first unto salvation, with some repentance following. And so, you change the definition of dead works, in order to not need repent of them to have faith toward God.

Now let us talk about unrepented sins....
Ok, since you honored me by at least responding directly to my point.

as the thorns and briers they would be.
True. That would be dead works of the flesh unrepented of.

The earth as in the believer has eternal life in them
Not in them that repent not first.

but if they do not move on to perfection
They don't begin at all.

Perfection is learning to keep repentance and obey God in all things, through all manner of trials and tribulations, even as the Son who was tempted in all points but without sinning.

Moving on to perfection in Christ Jesus, is not learning how to obey God more times than disobeying Him. That's the double heartedness of them that know in the mind they ought not to sin, but do not repent of sinning from the heart.

but just live their lives and forget about relating to Jesus on a daily basis
Repented saints and sons of God do not 'relate' to Jesus daily.

Relating to Jesus is unrepented sinners trying to remember not to sin so much.
, then the storms of their lives may overcome them as they sow to the flesh in reaping corruption rather than trusting Jesus not to let them go astray.
You don't preach Jesus Christ not to go astray. You preach not going astray so often.

So are they not saved?
No man is lost astray in darkness and saved in the light.

Are they losing salvation?
No. We are either saved walking in the light, or we are lost walking in darkness.

It is a matter of going to Jesus Christ for help to discern and to depart from iniquities
That's the matter for all sinners and trespassers of the world. Unless we repent, the only help of grace of God, is conviction by His Spirit to obey His commandment to repent.

No unrepented sinners and hearts of lust is going to Jesus nor His light:

For every one that is doing evil is hating the light, neither is coming to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that is doing truth is coming to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The first step of sinners coming to the light, is by repenting of sinning in the darkness.

No man is coming to the light, while still lusting for sin with the heart. No man is walking in the light, while lusting in the darkness of their own hearts.

Because Jesus is coming to judge His House first if you want to know what that fire does in that day at the pre great tribulation rapture event.
Purges away errors in ministry, not unrepented sinning. Repentance unto salvation is now before the grave or His appearing a second time.

Believers living in sin that do not want to be left behind & get stripes from the father for not being ready,
Right. Purgatory stuff. We are healed by His stripes, not saved by our own.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Some Christians play the same game, and say this is only the 'outer limits' of the light in heaven and the new earth. Reminds me of that old fantasy show, 'The Outer Limits'.

The point is that unrepented sinners with religion, will turn everything away from being judged by our works into something less 'permanent'.

The message is always the same: so long as we believe we are saved first, we are. And we ought to at least repent of some sinning among ourselves, and for our own good health. But of course it's not necessary to inherit the everlasting kingdom of Christ. One way or the other, repenting or not, Love will find a way...

should go to Jesus now to deliver them from their sins to walk in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son
Should, but not necessary, not as by any commandment of something.

Some Christians also separate the fellowship with Christ, from His salvation and justification.

Some also separate justification from sanctification, which is the gospel of instant justification with only gradual sanctification following.

Sounds like yours: Believe unto salvation first, with some repentance following...

So long as we are not judged by our works to be justified or condemned, then all is well with our soul. The great and mighty power of our doctrine alone shall raise us from the dead unto life.

in running that race in moving unto perfection.
Moving unto perfection of endurance, only begins with a perfect heart toward God.

Which only begins with repentance of all our transgressions first.

Gradual repentance at our own pace in progressive sanctification religion, is only for unrepented sinners and transgressors, believing they are already saved anyway.

This is why salvation is by the grace of God and not by our repenting from all sins
So, you confirm your gradual repentance theology is not by the grace of God, but only according to your own will and good time.

since those left behind at the rapture are still saved,
Sure. If anyone who believes they are saved, because they believe it, then anyone who wants to believe it, are thus saved.

Some Christians even teach those going to the grave believing, will end up believing in the end. No soul of man is ever punished forever.

Once repentance is placed behind salvation, like the cart before the horse, then it all just becomes a personal limit set by one believer or another. Some insist some repentance is important, and others say none. But neither preach repentance first as necessary to be forgiven of all past sinning unto salvation of the new purified heart and soul.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation not to be repented of:
They don't believe this, since they preach being saved by faith first, unto gradual repentance following.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Nor do they believe this, since salvation is by faith alone, and doing righteousness has nothing to do with being saved nor justified by God.

but it is to the profit of all believers to run that race to avoid that scourging for not resisting sin by not looking to Jesus Christ for help to do that.
It's to the profit of all men to obey God and repent of all our sins and transgressions, otherwise, no man enters the race for eternal life, much less receives the prize, that is only given at the end to them that run lawfully and well.

Unrepented religion runs their own righteousness race, of trying to do more good and less evil day to day.

Hi thanks I see that a little differently.
Nowhere in the Bible does God ever say repenting is of 'unbelief' nor of 'the mind' nor of 'thoughts'. The only repentance God speaks of in the Bible is of works and deeds.

I would offer. No where in the bible does it say dead men must do the first works to decide their own eternal destiny.
Unrepented dead sinners don't do the first works of Jesus, until first repenting of their sinning.

The first works of Jesus is cleansing within the platter first, upon repenting from lusting and sinning.

The grace of God leads us to repentance, Rom 2. I have never said otherwise.
And repentance by grace leads to salvation, 2 Cor 7. I have never said otherwise.

If you are here to ''create enemies" that is the flesh and you should leave.
Jesus creates lots of enemies still, when His commandment to repent unto salvation is preached.

If your conscience is so offended, then don't come to me.

The fact is, you simply don't understand the term this thread is about.

Argued it ad nauseum.
How are you doing on Peter? Have you condemned him? Why not?
If we sin, then we can repent and be forgiven and reconciled to God.

No prophet nor apostle is excused. Peter knew that.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Because she didn't want to repent of her sinning.
No.

She believed she could not repent for why she felt she had to clean up her life first before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ. Evangelist that places the emphasis on her to turn from her sin when her sin have dominion over her is why she believed she could not come to Jesus Christ.

Therefore neglecting to emphasize that Jesus will turn her away from sins is why any sinner that hopes in him for that are free to come to Him and not just for eternal life.

Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
That is how we are blessed at the calling of the gospel when we place our hope in Him to turn us from our sins & not just for eternal life.

This is the gospel below and note there is no mention for the sinner to turn from their sins FIRST but to believe in Him for eternal life.

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Once saved with Jesus Christ in them, then they are to be discipled in knowing His words to look TO Him in living that daily life of repentance.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Running that race for the high prize of our calling to be crowned as that vessel unto honor in His House is what discipleship is all about, because those saved believers not found abiding in him, will be disqualified at the pre great tribulation rapture event & left behind to die, but to be resurrected after the great tribulation as vessels unto dishonor in His House, vessels of wood & earth to serve the King of kings on earth.

Nowhere in the Bible does God ever say repenting is of 'unbelief' nor of 'the mind' nor of 'thoughts'.
The only repentance God speaks of in the Bible is of works and deeds.
In discipleship in running that race.... yes.. but not for obtaining salvation unless you deny Him as your Saviour when you are already saved by Him for simply believing in Him, even in His name.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

You have to be saved to even enter that race for the high prize of our calling to be crowned as that vessel unto honor in His House.

That is why many are called but few are chosen... to attend the Marriage Supper in Heaven as there will be an excommunication of those reprobates as disqualified because they are in works of iniquity that denies Him for why He is denying them attendance to the Supper.

This is a very important point: Luther once said, you can't keep the starlings from circling your head, but you can keep them from landing.
True. even as Abram chased away all fowls from his sacrifice to God.

Ghada is condemning anyone who has them circling over their head,
EarlyActs is moving on to changing the teaching of others over meeting their arguments head on.

which is just ordinary human experience.
Ordinary human experience is sinning by temptation. The sons of God experience is being tempted like the Son, yet without sinning.

Because Ghada is the only expert on perfect righteousness.
Thank you. But there are others that have corrected me.

EarlyActs is definitely not the only expert on imperfect unrighteousness.

I do understand why unrepented sinful Christians get personally offended, when their justifying doctrine is challenged. It's because their conscience trusts entirely in the very power of their doctrine alone, to justify and raise them from the dead unto life. And so any challenge to their doctrine is taken as a direct assault upon the conscience and soul

My conscience depends only my words and deeds, not on the doctrine I preach. If my doctrine is fairly challenged and successfully corrected by another, which it is at times, then it is more perfected, and I thank them for it.

But my conscience is still only kept clean by repenting of dead works, and only pleasing God. And that is only by the good fight of casting down every fowl bird and starling and tempting thought to the feet of Jesus. That how we sons of God keep our hearts clean from lusting with the world. Exactly the same way the Son did in the flesh.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
We know that whosoever is born of God is not sinning; but he that is begotten of God is keeping himself, and that wicked one is touching him not.

I mean, why does anyone argue with this teaching of the Bible? Could it possibly be, because they still refuse to repent of all their transgressions already, and quit playing the religion game of 'progressive' sanctification in one's own good time and will?

The your stuff is just going round and round for the 4th or 5th time.

You'll need to respond to the gospel of God commanding all men to repent to be converted.

This is the gospel below and note there is no mention for the sinner to turn from their sins FIRST but to believe in Him for eternal life.
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

And repentance by grace leads to salvation, 2 Cor 7. I have never said otherwise.

Jesus creates lots of enemies still, when His commandment to repent unto salvation is preached.

If your conscience is so offended, then don't come to me.

re Peter
from what I have read from you, he is condemned because he is not a real "Perfect" Christian. That's is exactly what you are saying. You say that only total repentance of all sins, even ones you don't know you will do, is good enough; it has nothing to do with Christ's cross alone.

I demand a step by step explanation of what Peter's status is or you should stop posting; it is that simple. You have set yourself up as God as judge of all these things, so it should be a piece of cake to do so.
