Simplifying The Catholic - Protestant Divide.

But He did sometimes speak in a straightforward way, not in parables. At the wedding in Cana, for example:

“Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took [it].” (Joh 2:7-8 NKJV)

I would offer I believe that parable using the temporal things H20 seen to give us the unseen gospel understanding. Just as the blood of grapes. When changed to wine. Both water and blood inter changeably are used together in many ;parables to represent the unseen spiritual work of the Holy Spiri demonstrated working in the Son of man Jesus.

The water that became wine the blood of grapes used in anticipation of the wedding supper in the new order does not of this world order dying.

He uses sweat one of many that uses h20 to represent the power of the gospel of our unseen Holy Father

The father working in strengthening the Son of man Jesus to do His will. as if sweat was blood. . not sweat is blood . In either case it has to do with work

Spit used in another to remove spirit blindness., Dew another living water stilled by the green pastures another metaphor to represent the Holy Spirit. . Christ in us our Emanuel

Luke 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

As it were denoted a parable is in sight

blood falling down to the ground. the lifeless spiritless blood retuned to dust .

It as a parable indicates spirit life was given no dead sacrifices blowing in the wind

Beautiful teaching parable below using all forms of h20 to represent the life giving work of the Holy Spirit working in his children sons of God

Deuteronomy 32:1 Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.;My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

One you could frame and hang on the wall to remind where inspiration comes from. Not Rome or Salt Lake City

Good example of using dew to represent the Holy Spirit placing shield of dew to protect the holiness of the living water of the word from earthy inspiration

Same kind of spirit spoken of in the Luke 16 parable

Luke 16 ESV And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’

Numbers 11:8-10And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their families, every man in the door of his tent: and the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

So you think all is parable surrounding Christ in the end, even when we don't readily recognize that fact, because there's varying layers of symbolism in everything throughout Scripture, especially as pertaining to Christ and salvation.

And in your opinion, refer us back to predestination and salvation being a work of God and not a work of man.

Is this an accurate depiction of what your saying? If so, I agree.

However, I would add, we can fall into rabbit holes and go beyond scriptures too, so we have to be careful either way. Balance is positive. There's rules. But, just my thinking.

He always spoke straight forward prohecy as parables Comparing the historical temporal to the unseen eternal things of faith (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Where do you read in the bible that Enos replaced Abel? Surely it was Seth who replaced Abel, and that was by his first (natural) birth:

“And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, "For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed."” (Ge 4:25 NKJV)
Verse 26 follows completing the subject a man must be born again . .wonder or marvel not.

Genesis 4:26And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

The spiritual unseen seed Christ the power by which mankind must be born again was down to other second born Then with Abraham another second born he was connected the Jewish race to the law of the second born seed . The seed ended with the birth of the Son of man Jesus .The first born of many sons of God

Calling them a new name Christian "resident of the city of Christ" named after the husband Christ
