It’s the full Godhead we worship as we turn to the Father, His Son Jesus (the Word of God), and become filled with His Holy Spirit.
…Selah

Where do you get this from?
The church is full of both wheat and chaff.
The enemy has sown the chaff. He does it with a purpose in mind.

What does the word say? Why does He allow it.
It seems that you believe that God's purposes can be thwarted by man/men.
Do you not think those in the church of the Apostle John that left the church was under a strong delusion, and that God had a purpose in them being there! Do you not believe those were never of "us"

Your focus seems to be on man and what man is able to do and how man is able to persevere, and not on the author and perfecter of faith.
@Selah

Matthew 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

2 Timothy 4:1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Thessalonians 2:1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, ....

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Paul reminds believers of the tradition taught of us below in verses 13-15 to expose that lie above in verses 9-12 that there is no receiving the Holy Ghost by a sign & certainly not again and again and again like the world does in communing with spirits.
So if the believer believes that lie of seeking a baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of tongues as a sign at salvation, and/or continually seek a filling of the "Spirit" after other sensational signs in the flesh, they are committing spiritual adultery.

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Paul goes on to the next chapter that as the Lord touching us to heed the commandment to withdraw from them that are disorderly but not to treat them as the enemy, but admonish them as brothers.

2 Thessalonians 3:1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. 5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. 6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. 7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
What?
This is one big contradiction in terms.
In your 1st sentence you are 100% correct, if you are talking about the elect prior to and up to their conversion. Then you go completely off the rails, and forget that the elect are well... elect, and that no force at all will be able to rip them from the Fathers hand.

You should shift your focus more towards the Holy Spirit being stronger than these other spirits trying to deceive.
You should also understand that not all who claim to be Christian are Christian, but rather that even when proclaiming to be we see that the enemy plants chaff, and we see people leaving because they were never wheat, but always chaff.

I believe you are afraid and neglect God the Spirit in fear, and not in faith.
It is about recognizing the role of the Holy Spirit which is to testify of the Son John 15:26 to glorify the Son John 16:14 and that has to include worship. The Holy Spirit will not lead believers to bear witness of Himself in seeking His own glory, but of the Son and by him, God the Father.

The term "antichrist" as it is used in scripture means "instead of Christ" or "instead of the Son". So the spirit of the antichrist will do the opposite and lure believer's and sinners seeking Jesus Christ to themselves as if they are the "Holy Spirit" by their visitations with signs and lying wonders.

Those led by the indwelling holy Spirit will keep their eyes on the Bridegroom but those that are chasing after the spirits of the antichrist to receive by a sign, can be seen as the foolish virgins out to the market seeking to be filled with oil ad never getting full for why they were not ready to go into the wedding reception with the Bridegroom, and though they missed out, they are still part of that kingdom of heaven vs 1.

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in missing out but like the prodigal son that gave up his first inheritance for wild living and can never get it back, he is still son for why Jesus will get those lost sheep that followed the stranger's voice ( tongues for private use ) as they may die after the rapture in the great tribulation, but their spirits will be with the Lord in Heaven ( 2 Corinthians 5:7-11 & 1 Corinthians 3:10-17 KJV) to await for their resurrection after the great tribulation to be vessels unto dishonor in His House, vessels of wood & earth, but still in His House 2 Timothy 2:18-21 as they will hear the Lord as their King of kings literally in following Him and be of the one fold & one shepherd in that kingdom of heaven on earth John 10:16. God will perform a miracle in wiping the tears from their eyes to help them get past that loss. Revelation 7:9-17

I am not sure what you are on about but:
Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

This included Peter and John and the other Apostles.

My belief.

We can only Honour God in worship, after we have been birthed in the Spirit.....the Holy Spirit is our guide to honouring and worshipping God....Through the truth of his spirit...that bears witness with our spirit that we are his children....

There is only Honour ,Glory and Praise to Jesus....everything is about Jesus and zilch about me.
Online commentary.

The promised teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit guides us into all the truths of the word of God. "When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all the truth." As the Spirit fulfills this promise, He especially wants to unfold God's truth in ways that will glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you." The desire of the Holy Spirit is to bring glory and honor, not to Himself, but to the Lord Jesus Christ. "But when the Helpercomes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me" (John 15:26).

3. Who reveals the Son?

The Son revealed the Father (John 14: 9) and the Spirit reveals the Son. Jesus said, “He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you” (John 16:14). The Spirit takes of Christ and shows Him unto us. The Spirit reveals the Son. In fact, we have no way of “seeing Jesus” without the ministry of the Holy Spirit. If you neglect the Spirit, you have no way of really seeing Jesus.

I am not sure what you are on about but:
Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

This included Peter and John and the other Apostles
Actually, it doesn't include Peter & John and the other apostles.

Peter & John got arrested in the middle of having potential believers, about 5,000 so it was like salvation interrupted.

When Peter & John were released, they went to that company of potential believers whom were so impressed by Peter & john that they had prayed that they too would be bold to speak as Peter & John did and so they got saved and at the time of their salvation, it was testified that they continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Peter & John were already doing that for why that answer to prayer was not for them when the new believers wanted to preach like them.

And you can know that these were new believers because of what they did after that by selling everything they had as that new community of believes and laying it at the apostles' feet for them to distribute evenly among the new community of believers.

Now for your notion that believers get filled again and again and again, we look to those scriptures that other believers have misapplied for meaning that ( and yet it goes against other scriptures like John 6:35 & Matthew 9:17 )

Acts 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

That was Luke's way of informing the readers that Peter was led by the Holy Spirit to say that; not that he needed a filling of the Holy Spirit to say that.

Acts 13:8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him. 10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Luke again is testifying how Paul spoke so that nobody would get the impression that he was angry and cursed by his flesh as if coming from himself.

Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. 50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. 51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

Luke is testifying to how Paul & Barnabus could do that in being joyful after that persecution and expulsion from that city where the Lord was ministering successfully. It is not something that can be done by the flesh and it is not something where they were crazy for doing that as they were able to be joyful by the Holy Ghost in them.

We have to be careful for how we apply the events in Acts so that it does not go against scripture in the N.T. since scripture cannot go against scripture. There is a believer in another forum that believes he has to ray to get that filling of the Spirt in order to speak for Jesus Christ.

Jesus would reprove him for believing that here;

Matthew 10:18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

So when Jesus said for believers not to give it a thought for what to say, then that has to include praying for a filing of the Spirit as if that is what He had taught before they can speak for Jesus Christ.

He is in us and with us always because we have been bought with a price and that is why we are not to grieve the Holy Spirit because He cannot leave us and so we will not go after the rudiment in the world where they receive spirits as they see & feel it happen like mediums to ghosts.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Colossians 2:5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

For a believer to seek a supernatural filling or to receive the Holy Spirit by a sign is awork of iniquity denying Him as always in us as Spirit-filled since salvation at the hearing of the gospel when we had first believed.

@Ritajanice

That is why the focus is on the Son in worship, prayer, & fellowship so that the spirits of the antichrist do not see that as an opportunity to come in & lead others astray by chasing after them for a sign when the focus is not on the Son but on the Holy Spirit which the indwelling holy Spirit would never lead believers to do.

Now apply His words from your quoted reference for how the Holy Spirit will lead you in worship since that is what He is doing in testifying of the Son in order to glorify the Son in ministry and so that has to include worship also. The Holy Spirit will not lead you to testify of Himself to glorify Himself, but of the Son in order to glorify God the Father.

I vote by honoring the Son . The messianic implications of Psalm 2:12 are clear. It is not God who is being honored with a kiss but God’s “son.” Jesus is the Son of God to whom those who want to come to the Father must show allegiance. In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Also, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Those who wish to know God must come to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. Those who do not kiss or honor the Son of God stand condemned by God (John 3:18).

Actually, it doesn't include Peter & John and the other apostles.
Why not go to the passage and read the whole thing!

This happened AFTER Peter and John were whipped and told not to speak in the name of Jesus.
They went back and prayed, and they were ALL filled.

Act 4:23 When they were released, they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them.
Act 4:24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them,
Act 4:25 who through the mouth of our father David, your servant, said by the Holy Spirit, “‘Why did the Gentiles rage, and the peoples plot in vain?

Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

What I had said. When Peter & John were released, Peter and John reported to them what the chief priests & the elders had said to Peter & John.

Act 4:24 And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them,

So when I read the bold portion of the following verse, it is those people that Peter & John had spoken to that lifted up their voices together to God and prayed. It was not Peter & john when they were praying to speak like Peter & John.

Acts 4: 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

So it was the people that Peter & John that reported to that prayed and that happened to them so they too could be like Peter & John.

This was when these potential believers were saved as they because a new community of believers afterwards for why they sold everything and laid it at the apostles' feet to distribute them evenly among this new community of believers,

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

So there is no more supernatural filling of the Holy Spirit after salvation as these were new born again believers that Peter & John were arrested from but now released into their company to report for which they were inspired to pray that they too may speak the Word of God with boldness..

So there is no more supernatural filling of the Holy Spirit after salvation

Mounce's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words: Even after people are permanently filled with the Spirit at conversion, the Spirit can again fill them in a sense that he possesses and empowers them in a special way for a temporary, specific task, such as when Peter spoke to the Sanhedrin (Acts 4:8) and the church prayed for boldness (4:31). Paul is filled with the Spirit (9:17) and almost immediately begins to testify (9:20). He is later filled with the Spirit again and denounces Elymas the magician (13:9) (Fill, page 250).

No. it wasn't (Acts 4:4).

When Peter & John were released, they went to that company of potential believers

Wrong.
Zero proof to back up your assertion.

For a believer to seek a supernatural filling or to receive the Holy Spirit by a sign is awork of iniquity

Don't associate the two. They are not the same thing.

Christians are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). There is no need for a command if it is already permanently achieved.

As the pattern in Acts 2:38-40 & Acts 10:43-44, there is no mention of having received the holy Ghost or did you missed that?

Acts 4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

Read it again as Luke was testifying to what power Peter was speaking by as filled with the Holy Ghost as inferring the Holy Spirit was speaking through him by the authority of the Word of God.

Acts 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

Otherwise, how do you post? Do you wait for a supernatural filling before you post? Then how silly is that for Him to fill you so as to speak.
Don't associate the two. They are not the same thing.
Yes; it is. You are testifying to an outward manifestation in Acts as if the Holy Spirit can fill a saved believer again and again and again.
Christians are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). There is no need for a command if it is already permanently achieved.
Christians are commanded to be sober as in remain in self control which temperance is a fruit of the Spirit. Every believer nowadays that has gone into apostasy insist that we are to seek a filling when it is past tense in opposing getting drunk with wine thus "be filled" means remaining sober.

My brother's church is in apostasy. They had a guest speaker that promoted a healing service by referring to how Jesus cane to the Samaritan woman in talking to her. He even inferred as if directed to sinners in the congregation that they do not have to come to Jesus; Jesus will come to them. Then he emphasizes "Experience the tenderness of Jesus.." and "have an encounter with Jesus" in hyping that phenomenon for a healing.

On top of that, mt brother's regular pastor was up there when he had finished giving that call, and added "Those who have a hunger for more of God ( which is directed to believers ) "Let the Spirit fill you.."

It took me a while for me to discern everything going on there as my brother had called that morning for me to go up there for a healing. I had missed the first service, attended the very end of the second when that pastor, a relative, and female singer from the musical group prayed for me. Nothing happened. I shared my experience about Ernest Angeley's Healing Crusade and even later on about my Aunt's church when the holy laughter movement broke out in her church the week prior to my visit to her. When I stayed for the last service in that morning, I got the whole sermon and heard everything and the Lord helped me catch those apostate sayings. The Lord kept me silent from speaking as my brother and one guy in front of me prayed for my healing and again nothing happened, but by then, I did not expect anything because I was not opening myself up to whatever that spirit was for that healing.

I wanted to speak to the guest but the pastor must have shared what I had shared and he was angry in seeing me coming and said there was a line. Then I tried to speak to the pastor and he evaded me even though he had said that there would be people outside in the lobby area to answer questions. Then my brother came and our discussion went from that assembly, to the lobby and finally out in the parking lot.

I could not tell if he was lying to me that the pastor was speaking about being filled with the Spirit in principle as in not thinking about the world instead. I said his pastor & that guest were preaching a phenomenon. But no. My brother is stuck on Ephesians 5:18 as if why else did it say that and no matter how many times I said it just means to remain sober as in self control rather than get drunk with wine.

So even though my brother denies that they are preaching a phenomenon thus another Jesus and another spirit to receive by how these miracles comes; he still thinks his pastor use of being filled with the Spirit is in principle and not an actual supernatural filling.

Here you are using scriptures in Acts as if trying to validate such a phenomenon that can happen to a saved believer in being filled again with the Holy Spirit and yet wishes not to be validating those apostate movements of the "spirit" where they are experiencing the same filling of the spirit for those phenomenon that they seek to occur.

Any emphasis to put the believer's focus on the Holy Spirit, & in receiving Him again, God will permit a strong delusion to occur.

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

When a seeker knocks at the door of Jesus Christ, the Father will give the Holy Spirit as promised; but He will not give the Holy Spirit again, les He looks evil as if He did not give you the Holy Spirit the first time for knocking at the door of Jesus Christ. Hence no more filling of the Spirit.

@civic I tagged you because of the other false teaching that is going out there by how apostasy is thriving in these latter days.

As the pattern in Acts 2:38-40 & Acts 10:43-44, there is no mention of having received the holy Ghost or did you missed that?

I didn't miss it.
Neither does Acts 16:14-15 and 18:8 specifically mention the Holy Spirit was received.

Acts 4:23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them. 24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

Read it again

No need to.
The word "company" has already been properly defined.

Otherwise, how do you post? Do you wait for a supernatural filling before you post?

Irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

My brother is stuck on Ephesians 5:18

Because last time I checked this passage is still in the Bible.

All I can do is ask you to pray normally to Jesus at that throne of grace and trust him to enable you to receive the truth if you are astray or not or you are at risk for an apostasy to come for applying Ephesians 5:18 in that way.

I shall send a prayer up for you right now, brother. This is all I can do for you now.

Act 4:23 When they were released, they went to their friends and reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

You are wrong

All that were gathered there does not exclude ANYONE.
All means all, in that context.
They were ALL believers there.

Listen.

If Peter & John reported to them and those that heard it prayed to be like Peter & John, why would Peter & John prayed to be like Peter & John?

It is those that prayed to be like Peter & John are the recipients of that prayer. It was also when those potential 5,000 believers were saved.

Listen.

If Peter & John reported to them and those that heard it prayed to be like Peter & John, why would Peter & John prayed to be like Peter & John?
And here is your problem. The prayer was NOT to be like Peter and John.
You plucked that out of the air somewhere!

Act 4:29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness,

Who must continue! (according to you not Peter and John!)
