I would agree. But would question the use of metaphors in the parables. Parables. . the comparing of the things seen the temporal, to the unseen eternal things of God

I would offer another perspective.

Jesus the Son of man like that of Timothy (chaste virgin bride) they represent the bride the church . The let there be . . power of unseen Holy father who works in his chaste virgin bride.

Sons of God. Christians they are not what they will be when they receive the promise of their new incorruptible bodies.

In that way Jesus the Son of man is not ashamed to call us brothers', sisters and mothers (Matthew 12:50. . . Mark 3:35)

However I will ask a few questions and offer an alternate way of interpreting the number 144,000 in Rev. besides the JW way. Consider too that they themselves have had to adjust their interpretation of it over the years since the first interpretation became an impossibility.

Is the book of Revelation apocalyptic literature?

Do you know what that means and how such writings are to be interpreted?

Is John seeing visions that are presenting an invisible reality with the use of symbolic images, representative figures and numbers?

If the answer to that question is yes, then are the numbers used in the visions representing something or are they literal?

If they are representative, what does the number 12 represent in the Bible itself?
