Sure. Yep, all those over there are…….🤔.. animals. That’s what I’ll call them. Animal.
I suppose Adam could have...but it doesn't fit the narrative. The bible tells us ...."He brought them to the man to see what he would name each one." The bible doesn't say God said to Adam...see those critters over there? What will you call them.

Barnabas...the guy from Acts wrote the following. I consider him as early church.

Barnabas 15:3
Of the Sabbath He speaketh in the beginning of the creation; And
God made the works of His hands in six days, and He ended on the
seventh day, and rested on it, and He hallowed it.

Barnabas 15:4
Give heed, children, what this meaneth; He ended in six days. He
meaneth this, that in six thousand years the Lord shall bring all
things to an end; for the day with Him signifyeth a thousand years;
and this He himself beareth me witness, saying; Behold, the day of
the Lord shall be as a thousand years.
Therefore, children, in six
days, that is in six thousand years, everything shall come to an end.

I believe this may be where the man has six thousand years of history theology came from.

That would mean if the earth was created about 4,000 bc...and it's been about 2,000 years from Christ Jesus...time is just about up.

If the day=age concept is correct, barnabas makes no sense.
Hmmm, I see no mention of a 24-hour period. I do see however how it could mean an old earth. ;)

Yes

🤣 what was its form before it was unformed? What is the black void of space? I'll put it like this ; the canvas was blank and empty, void of any color or substance. What I do know is , what exists now and at Adam and Eve's time didn't at one point. You probably gag at gnats but swallow camels too 🐪 😋
Rude and vacuous...

I suppose your post is a type of creation, before the Lord created light: unformed and empty.

Yes sure. I’m sure God said, let’s hurry Adam. Don’t want to waste the whole day naming animals. We still have lots more to do.
Cynicism doesn't really help...

I know brother, didn't mean to offend you. I was using that to try and prove a point.
It's okay, I wasn't offended; and I knew what you were trying to do. It was the kind of comment that you'd feel safe saying to me, but I very much doubt that you'd say it to the Lord. I certainly wouldn't.

You are right about that. From what this pea-brained worm knows of God, I'm sure I would be laying prone on my face.

That's what I'm saying bro. It took time to name the animals.

One young Earther, Hovind, said Adam could have named all the animals in a 24-hour period. Plus there were only about 3000+ animals so he could have named them all as 5 seconds an animal. But if ya think about that, that's nonsense. He would obviously have been in a hurry. Think about it for a sec.
Then once that was done, he moved right into the next thing, getting put to sleep, and having surgery performed on him to create Eve. And there was more of course. Being created on the sixth day, he was told to work the land, so I am sure he must have had time for that also.

I've walked through large zoo's in several hours.

Here's a list of rodentia....Adam would have looked at the squirrel and mouse and said....Rodent. Adam didn't have to give a name to each of the 2,276 species of rodents.

Just rodent huh? Ok, thanks. Nice to know where you're coming from.

Hmm.....

You might have to ask mr. Owl that one.

I would too.

I wonder what Adam's mental capacity, IQ, and acumen was like pre-fall?
Off the charts...

The most intelligent people nowadays would probably have seemed like idiots to him.

Animal is a "kingdom", in taxonomy. The Bible speaks of "kinds", which is probably about equivalent to "family" in modern taxonomy. There had been no time for speciation.

The core matter here is not really about how many kinds of animals Adam had to name; it's about believing what God's word says, whether our feeble understanding can see how it works or not.

I agree 100%.

Often you find christians who can believe the bible when it says a dead guy can raise from the grave on day 3...as written...yet find a way to not believe other portions of then bible.

There is no way the guy who rose from the dead could have made the earth and "all" in six days.
