Total Depravity Explained Without Reference to the Human Will

There are a lot of people a whole lot smarter than me would tell you that the Bible is the living word of God.
Being intelligently smart, has got nothing to do with being Born Of God’s Seed..

That comes by divine revelation, by Gods Living witness His Living Holy Spirit.

Man is smart in their own knowledge.which isn’t smart at all...in the eyes of God.

Our spiritual knowledge can only come from the Spirit of God...when we become Born Of God’s seed.

We are very much at different levels of spiritual understanding.

The Bible is not the Living Spirit Of God....the Spirit of God is Alive/ Active and is everywhere, just as his penned word says.

Without God’s witness His Living Holy Spirit/ residing in our heart/ spirit..we have absolutely nothing..still dead and alienated from God in spirit.

God created earth as our home. So what exactly is your hope, and what do you think the epistles are speaking of as our hope?
Eternal life with Jesus.

"This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through,
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue;
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore."

The Bible is God's divine revelation.
No it’s not....the Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children, that comes by divine revelation, then that Living divine revelation that we receive directly from the Spirit to our spirit/ heart, the penned word backs up Gods Living witness His Living Holy Spirit and what was witnessed to our spirit/heart....

Divine revelation...is Alive and Active he is the Holy Spirit and only he chooses who he reveals his truth to...

Divine revelation is Alive and Active...he is not the written word..the Holy Spirit backs up,the written word...you need the Living Spirit Of Truth...being Born Of God’s seed..is by Living divine revelation.

We aren’t Born Of The Bible.

We are Born Again by Gods Living Spirit...

We are Born Again by the will of God,you don’t need to read any bible for that to happen, thousands become Born Again having never read a Bible....it happens by divine revelation....

Romans 8

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness
.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It’s not my opinion, it’s the Living word of God.

I have posted the written word of God saying otherwise....

The written word backs up what we received by Living divine revelation....we are Born Of The Living Spirit, our spirit must be brought from death in Adam number one, to life in Adam number two...

You cannot read that into being, that is a supernatural act that can only come by divine revelation...Living divine revelation.....just as the word of God says.....we are “ Born Of The Spirit “ that is by Gods mercy and grace....you are not Born Again by one’s will or of ones choosing....of course what I’ve posted is spiritually discerned...

Remember, God gives the gifts of His Spirit—including discernment—for the improvement and growth of the body (I Corinthians 12:7).

Discernment......It means “to understand or know something through the power of the Spirit.

Yes, I have read that and believe every word of it. But I don't believe what you think it means.

Obviously, you think you know what it means. But that is just your opinion. You can believe what you want.

It’s self explanatory and can only be understood in the spirit.

So, you believe that the Spirit testifies with our spirit....how does he do that then?

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

God is already saying what it means...so no, it’s not my opinion on what he’s saying....he is saying that the Spirit testifies with our spirit...which means what?...

So please explain how the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children?

Eternal life with Jesus.

"This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through,
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue;
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore."
Earth is our home. God prepared it for us. (Gen 1 and 2). It has been corrupted just like we have been. We long for our home restored and God dwelling among us. Why do you ignore Rev 21:1-6 and all the other passages both OT and NT that tell us the same thing.

All the scriptures that tell us that Jesus before His incarnation was creator with the Father and Holy Spirit, would suggest this, as well as those that specifically say it. If His creation is not restored He suffers loss or is not omnipotent. This is an opportunity I would think, to grow and expand in the knowledge of God and this multifaceted glory of redemption.

The Spirit bears witness with our spirit not to our spirit.

We cry, "Abba! Father!" (v. 15). It is to that that the Spirit is witnessing with us that we are children of God. The Holy Spirit is our intercessor, speaking on our behalf. The Holy Spirit is a witness to God on our behalf.

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Rom 8:27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Ignore Revelation 21:1-6? I don't think so.

I do not think this world is going to be restored. Rather it is going to be replaced. It will not be an earthly kingdom; it will be a heavenly kingdom with Jesus.

Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

The Spirit bears witness with our spirit not to our spirit.
I asked you the question how does he do that?

How does he testify with our spirit that we are Gods children?

I’m not asking for scripture, because i’m asking you what he bears witness with our spirit and it’s spiritual meaning
.

We can all quote scripture..I’m asking you how he goes about bearing witness with our spirit ?

The Spirit bears witness with our spirit..you should be able to explain this, quoting scripture does not mean that one’s spirit is Born Again.

How does the Spirit bear witness with our spirit?

Please explain in your own words please, you should be able to give some testimony?

I ask again how does the Spirit do that?

Your just quoting scripture, anyone can do that...what does bearing witness with our spirit mean?

By what means does the Spirit do this?

How is this done?..you only posted scripture....who testified with your spirit/ our spirit that we are Gods Children, it’s there, only you haven’t given me the answer, you just post scripture.

Are you saying you only know God’s truth by reading the Bible?

There is somewhere else we need to know God’s truth apart from the written word, where is that?
Do you understand that we are spiritual children, in Gods spiritual realm?

What the Spirit of truth will do for us

But the Bible says there is a second level of understanding that involves the spiritual truths contained in those God-inspired words. Jesus taught that only those to whom God grants His Spirit can clearly understand His words at this level.
