Total Depravity

Only one of the 4 was born again, the one which produced fruit. ie the last one.

so no. the rocky soil never had saving faith. hence they were never given eternal life
So why do you not believe in the Regeneration of the Good Soil by the Sower, before he Sows the Seed? If he Tills the Soil after the Seed is Sown, it is uprooted; right? God tells us not to weed out the Tares for this very reason...

John 1, But as many as have recieved him, to THEM he gave the power to become sons of God

John 20:31 — 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
Life comes through faith. just as salvation comes through faith.

God is offering you a gift. will you receive it or not.
Okay so you just disregard 2 Thess 2:13

Notice.

these people tried to get to God by works. These are not atheist's or people who made other gods having rejected the god of heaven.

They tried to get to heaven by the works they did.

so they believed in God. and wanted to be with God. they just thought they did it by their own deeds.

we call this legalism..

If an unregenerate does not repent and come to faith by Gods power. they are still unregenerate. still dead in sin, still lost.

But they never were saved, "their faith" did not save them.

The faith that says, but does not do is, not real faith.

Actions speak louder than words.

They were unregenerate and trusting in themselves, they never were seeking God, they were trusting in self works righteousness.

The good soil represents the true believer. who has received God and given the power to become Gods child

God does not just take us out and take us home (to heaven). he leaves us with the tares..

Plus he needs us to produce fruit.. Which I believe is serving others. part of which is to help God in his drawing them to him. and the greatest fruit of all is another lost soul saved

No. I do not disregard it at all. I just do not see it as you do.

remember what Paul said in verse

10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

they did not do what God said in the verses I posted to you.. We did..

Yes. Which is what I said

yes.

But they are not those who never believed in God at any point.. These people tried to reach God.

you could put half the professing church or more in this category

I am talking about belief that leads to salvation, the unregenerate does not have this.

Look at all the false christians and nut cases on television, these people are not saved, yet they "believe" they know God.

The Bible says they cannot know anything about Him or spiritual things.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But a natural man does not accept the depths of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually examined.

Why is the Soil Good, and what does the Good Soil represent? The Good Soil is Rocky, Weedy and Trodden before it is made Good by the Sower. Every time I hear a Sermon on the Soils, I am told that the hearers at the time were Agrarian, and would understand the Analogy perhaps better than we would. The Sower Tills the Soil and makes it Good Soil. The Trodden Soil isn't Good because it needs it's ground to be broken by the Plow...

Let's say you understand me but disagree. I've learned long ago not to strive over an issue; just to know that I've Sown my Point. I've also learned that we're also speaking to Lurkers; and they KNOW the difference in the Soils is that furrows were cut into the Good Soil...

I'll Paste a Gospel Tract about this; enjoy the read...

Turning Swords into Plowshares ~ by ReverendRV * November 28

Isaiah 2:4 KJV; And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Jesus said ‘Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth; Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.’ ~ Spiritually speaking, no one begins in life as a peacemaker, but instead we begin as enemies of God. The Bible says that Stealing, Lying, and Cursing with God’s name are all Sin; and they’re only the tip of the Iceberg. Jesus also said ‘He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters’; so there is no neutrality. When one decides to repent and follow Jesus, they are no longer enemies of God. Former enemies know the way of weapons, but when they no longer need them; they can put a weapon to a better use…

Jesus said ‘Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.’ There are times when Christians obey this, but it seems they can’t get through to some people. Jesus compares the heart of these people to hard, trodden ground; ‘When anyone hears the Message about the Kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the Seed sown along the path.’ This is when the ground of your heart needs to be tilled. ~ The Prophet Ezekiel describes it like this; ‘I will give you a New Heart and put a New Spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a Heart of flesh.’ God makes the ground of your heart good and then compares it to tilled soil. God uses the Law of God to penetrate your heart, Paul describes it like this; ‘For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.’ ~ A follower of Christ will lay down his carnal sword and pick up the ‘Sword which is the Word of God’; and use it as a plowshare to break ground in your rock hard heart…

This is what Saint Peter did at the first Christian Pentecost. By the power of God’s Holy Spirit, Peter rose and preached to the crowds. Everyone present knew of how God had been working the last few years in the land of Israel, and SURELY there were large crowds assembled to see if it would continue. There were people who would had seen the Miracles of Christ; giving sight to the blind, feeding the thousands and raising the dead. There would have been people there who saw the darkness the day Christ was Crucified, and when they heard Peter quote the prophecy of Joel, they would have known the darkness was predicted long ago. There would have been people who told Pontius Pilate to Crucify Jesus, and when Peter proclaimed this, ‘They were cut to the Heart’. Peter turned the Sword he used to cut off a guard's ear into a Plowshare, and turn the Spear that pierced Christ's heart into a pruning Hook; reaping a harvest that day of three thousand people!

You have reason to worry today if you have not turned to Jesus Christ as your Savior. Moses said, ‘But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the LORD had said.’ You are the one who trods down the path which is your heart, making it harder! We’re Saved by Grace through Faith in the risen Savior Jesus Christ, not by Works lest we boast. Repent of your Sins, Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord God; read your Bible and go to Church. ~ Eternal life will now be able to grow in the circumcision which the Bible has cut into your Heart…

John 5:24 ESV; Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

I did, and God regenerated me through it

The bible says they do know things about God. but they hide it. or they close their ears and eyes.

You are basically saying that your own faith saved you and then Holy Spirit regenerated you.

That is not Biblical in anyway.

A question, have you ever studied systematic theology?

I think Jesus is making a reference to the reaction of the people. not the particular soils.. I learned awhile ago not to read to much into things

I put the onus on the people who did not have faith. not the one who did not explain it well.. God works in and through people. I have seen where a person trying to explain a biblical truth had me confused. But the person heard what I believe God chowed them, not the flawed presentation. and still came to faith.

No sense continuing this, you ignore scriptures that show you truth
I see you have not changed a bit. You love to go chatroom to chatroom to post a few scriptures. and when people do not agree with you. This is how you react.

My friend. I showed you what the word says, You can see it as I do. or not see it as I do. and we can move on, But since you have done to me here what you have done elsewhere. I will do what I usually do there and just ignore what you say.

You are basically saying that your own faith saved you and then Holy Spirit regenerated you.
No. I am not saying this

I am saying I TRUSTED GOD. and I DID NOT TRUST MYSELF.

I recieved him, and he gave me the power to become Gods child.
That is not Biblical in anyway.
If you believe this, this is fine, But I disagree
A question, have you ever studied systematic theology?
Many times..

If you believe this, this is fine, But I disagree

Many times..
I am very confused.

You have said in several posts that people can choose salvation, or am I just misreading what you are saying.

Do you believe monergism or synergism in salvation?

I have NEVER SAID THIS. How can I chose salvation?

You are misreading

I have no idea what these terms mean. nor to be honest do I care.

Lets discuss the word. Not isms..
Very confusing indeed.

Is it your faith or your belief that had a hand in salvation, your free will to choose?

Many believe that they are Christians, but in reality they are self-deceived.
One day the Lord will say to them....
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Matthew 7:22 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, in Your name did we not prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many miracles?’
Matthew 7:23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
… like PENTECOSTALS (and other non-cessationists)? … or those that WORSHIP ON SUNDAY? ;)
(Sorry, I couldn’t resist the opening) … no harm intended, just a little humor.
