Baptism is the sign and seal of membership in Christ's body, the church.

It is a fact beyond dispute that the covenant made with Abraham included the infant offspring of Abraham. This is just saying that the church under the Old Testament included not only all those who were of sufficient age and intelligence to confess the true religion but also their infant seed. Infants received the sign of circumcision. It was administered to them by divine command (Genesis 17:10-12). And circumcision was the sign and seal of the covenant administered to Abraham.

It is if it's baptism by the Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:13

There's some debate about the offspring of the redeemed making it to heaven due to insufficient intellect. MacArthur and Sproul debated it.
I wonder .... an unredeemed guy has a kid that dies at 1 year old. Later the guy becomes saved. Does the kid get to heaven under your criteria? I guess YES.

Another way to look at it.

No outward signs were given an evil unredeemed generation seek after. Aaron's two sons offered strange sign pointing to their own self .Consumed them .Not a hint of smoke of the ceremonial attire .

A sign to the world . Believers have prohecy til the end of time. .

Satan the king of lying signs to wonder, wonder, wonder (Limbo) after. His only voice as a the king of false prophets, (oral traditons dying mankind) false apostles (antichrists')

An evil generation looks to the lying signs and wonders of the father of lies .They (faithless) made Jesus into a circus seal more than once

."Do a trick, . . perform a miracle" then when we see with our own eyes we will believe for a twinkle .;)

John 4:48Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Baptism is the work of the Holy Spirit pouring out His Spirit life in jeapordy of his own Spirit life on dying flesh and blood (Jesus the Son of man )

Giving us his faithful understanding to rightly divide the parable.(drink blood eat flesh ) Using the temporal dying things seen (water and blood) to represent the unseen work of Christ in us .

John 6 :53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
