The gate only opens from the inside!

Salvation from the wrath of God (Ro 5:9) on one's sin at the final Judgment is through faith in the person and atoning work of Jesus Christ, which faith is a gift of God (Php 1:29, 2 Pe 1:1, Ac 13:48, 18:27, Ro 12:3) accompanying the sovereign new birth by the Holy Spirit, who is as unaccountable as the wind (Jn 3:3-8).

Baptism has nothing to do with it.

Faith which is salvation is not the result of baptism.

Those Scriptures do not refer to baptism.
Faith and baptism are the imitation into the new covenant

Mk 16:16
Jn 3:5
Acts 2:38
Acts 22:16
1 cor 12:13
1 pet 3:20

Faith and baptism are the imitation into the new covenant

Mk 16:16
Jn 3:5
Acts 2:38
Acts 22:16
1 cor 12:13 -- spiritually baptized, regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
1 pet 3:20 -- note how baptism saves; i.e., it is a commitment on the part of the believer in all good conscience to make sure that what baptism symbolizes will become a reality in his life.

How can there be two modes or methods of salvation?

Faith & baptism: from Jesus Christ
Mk 16:16
Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism. *NOWHERE does the Bible say, "baptized or condemned."

If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention it in the following verses. (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) Yet what is the ONE requirement that Jesus mentions nine different times in each of these complete statements *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism? *Hermeneutics.
Faith alone: from Luther
Faith (rightly understood) in Christ alone. (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9)
Where does Mk 16:16 say: he who believes shall be saved?
Where does Mark 16:16 say whoever is not baptized shall be condemned? John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

what I am curious about is why Did Jesus change his wording in mk 16 from John 3. and add the word baptize?

It makes no sense.

Folks need to make sure that they harmonize everything that Jesus said in multiple passages of scripture before jumping to a hasty conclusion about baptism being absolutely necessary for salvation.

its sort of like. He told these people. believe and be saved, do not believe and remain condemned

He told those people believe and be baptized to get saved, ordo not believe and remain condemned

So does he saved both those who had faith only. and those who had faith and got baptized. or what?

Just as I explained it in post #123 is how I see it. Now if he who believes shall be saved (John 3:15,16,18,36; 5:24; 6:40,47; 11:25,26) then he who believes and is baptized shall be saved as well, but who did Jesus say would be condemned? Whoever is not baptized? NO. Whoever does not believe. (Mark 16:16(b); John 3:18)

which leaves us with two possibilities

in Mark 16 baptism is not water baptism but spiritual

or mark 16 (as many believe) was not part of the origional text but was added later (it is missing from the two oldest greek text)

I tend to follow the second. As it also makes no sense that every believer will be spared poison and snake bites.. This is not true either.

After considering every possibility, "water baptized or condemned" is inconclusive.
