Baptism is the sign and seal of membership in Christ's body, the church.

It is if it's baptism by the Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:13Baptism is the sign and seal of membership in Christ's body, the church.
There's some debate about the offspring of the redeemed making it to heaven due to insufficient intellect. MacArthur and Sproul debated it.It is a fact beyond dispute that the covenant made with Abraham included the infant offspring of Abraham. This is just saying that the church under the Old Testament included not only all those who were of sufficient age and intelligence to confess the true religion but also their infant seed.

The new Covenant was brand new, and the ONLY persons under it who were commanded to receive water baptism were those who had received Jesus as Savior and LordIt is a fact beyond dispute that the covenant made with Abraham included the infant offspring of Abraham. Infants received the sign of circumcision. It was administered to them by divine command (Genesis 17:10-12). And circumcision was the sign and seal of the covenant administered to Abraham.
Just curious why were they commanded to be baptized? where do you find the book chapter and verse for the answer? The new Covenant was brand new, and the ONLY persons under it who were commanded to receive water baptism were those who had received Jesus as Savior and Lord
Curious of this concern about baptism? Do you believe one has to believe and be baptized in order to be saved?Just curious why were they commanded to be baptized? where do you find the book chapter and verse for the answer?
I agree with both the scriptures that say saved by grace saved by faith believe and be baptized repent and be baptized in Christ name for the forgiveness of sin that baptism puts on Christ but you seem to only select a few that you think trumps the others you have to trust in all and accept the whole of God's word harmonizing them to get the complete truth and not making a few trump the the rest of God's word. I know this is going to be hard for you to get but did you ever stop to think that baptism is part of the grace? Read Romans chapter six.Curious of this concern about baptism? Or do you agree with scripture we are saved by grace, through faith?
Ephesians 2:8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
I understand what you think now, though I can't agree with you. Read Romans chapter six then come back and tell me what we are buried with him in and please tell me what you think the gospel is if not the death burial and resurrection and tell me what verse 17 is talking aboutI understand what you think now, though I can't agree with you. But plain and simple, if you put anything else alongside Christ for salvation, or put something before him, or even Christ plus, then the gospel is not followed. It is a different gospel.
It is Christ alone. Jesus said to be baptized; therefore, we get baptized. Baptism does not save.
And I am sorry to disappoint you, but I do not read a few verses here and there and select what I believe trumps things. I study scripture, keeping it in "context," friend. I put away those childish practices years ago. So, things are not as they seem to you.
It will probably do you good (if you care) to get to know some of us before making such an insulting remark.
