Did you read my Gospel Tract on Scripture Alone?
Honestly, I don't think I did.Did you read my Gospel Tract on Scripture Alone?
Let me take a minute and read. ThanksScripture Alone ~ by ReverendRV * September 17
Genesis 1:1 KJV; In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Through Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”. So God created Man in his own image, in the image of God created him; male and female created he them. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the Garden thou may freely eat; but of the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eat thereof thou shalt surely die. When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, a tree to be desired to make them wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also to her husband with her; and he ate it. At once they saw what they had done, and they realized they were naked. Then they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. ~ For the wages of Sin is Death…
All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. ~ Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him and he began to teach them. He said: "You’ve heard the Commandment that says, 'You must not commit adultery.' but I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, 'Raca,' is answerable to the court. Anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.” ~ For whoever keeps the whole Law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it…
The wages of Sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal Life! ~ For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting Life. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory; Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. For by Grace you are Saved through Faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by Works so that no one can boast. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ~ I’ve passed on to you what is most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our Sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. The Lord will rescue us from every evil deed and will bring us safely to his Heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen…
Revelation 22:20-21 KJV; He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
This is an instance where I only used Verses...Let me take a minute and read. Thanks

Counts for what? This is an instance where I only used Verses...
That counts, right?
For me using a lot of Scripture...Counts for what?
Probably my best Gospel Tract ever...Yes, I read this one before.
@ReverendRVCounts for what?
Absolutely...
And other times?Absolutely...
Scripture is Good All the time. All the time Scripture is Good...And other times?
You said "confessed sins". I'm not the only one who noticed, and I think that it was quite reasonable to ask for clarification of what appeared to be a serious error.Yes, he bore all of our Sins. Even when we don't know we have offended a Brother, and can't drop what we're doing and be reconciled; so we can THEN Worship...
I think these things are pretty simple Brother; and in a way, they don't need to be asked. I thought you would like my point about how the Cross of Christ was Limited to only bearing the Nailed Sins of the Unconditional Elect...
I just want to back up a bit to this post.Fair enough Brother...
One reason I use Theology and Doctrine so much, is that the other side uses a LOT of Verses; like Tom does.
Sure he does. According to his opinion also. Because it surely is not based on, or, backed by scripture. But Tom doesn't use Systematic Theology...
No, I think he does use it. And when he realizes it's failing he will copy and paste large amounts of scripture, out of context, then claim victory.Right?
Civic? Don't use enough verses?I already know that in your opinions, y'all hold it against Civic, that he didn't use enough Verses
Sorry, please Forgive me..You said "confessed sins". I'm not the only one who noticed, and I think that it was quite reasonable to ask for clarification of what appeared to be a serious error.
Playing the victim and trying to make me feel guilty is not something that impresses me, especially when you had also said that it was believers who nailed sins to the cross, something that is neither biblical nor "pretty simple".
I was being tactful, thinking that maybe you would just calmly re-word what you'd posted. This reaction was not what I expected.
There's never a good reason to not use Scripture. And there's never a good reason to not use Sound Doctrine and Theology...I just want to back up a bit to this post.
Is that a good reason not to use scripture?
Because Tom uses it a lot? The issue with Flom is he does not understand scripture. Even so, he knows enough to use it.
He is trying to convince you of truth when he can't support the truth with scripture. and you trying to convince him of the truth using your systematic which is of your opinion. Neither seems to work.
Sure he does. According to his opinion also. Because it surely is not based on, or, backed by scripture.
No, I think he does use it. And when he realizes it's failing he will copy and paste large amounts of scripture, out of context, then claim victory.
Civic? Don't use enough verses?
I really don't remember exactly how civic posted.
Amen! Sola Gratia!!!
That's one thing I'm dealing with here. It seems when I Confess something that some Calvinists question, it's as if they think I deny Reformed Fundamentals like Grace Alone...
Sorry, please Forgive me..
Jesus fulfills Scripture as the Scapegoat who carries away Confessed Sins; Leviticus 16. Leviticus uses the word Confessed, so I use the word Confessed. When I use the word Confessed, it's not intended to teach an insufficient Atonement due to our having any unconfessed Sins. It's meant to convey the Sins of Believers. Acknowledging one thing, isn't necessarily a denial of another thing. If we Confess our Sins, means to Confess we are Sinners...
I don't think anyone Confessed every Sin they committed...
Thanks, I appreciate itI understand, if you need help with anything, I am here for you, please know this. Believe me it's okay to question things, as we should, just like the Bereans who questions Paul, and checked for themselves. One valuable lesson I learned a long time ago. Is check for yourself, do the research and read everything you can get your hands on, and check it with Scripture; by Scripture Alone! We might read things that fracture our pride and egos, things that might seem unfair. But we are the ones that have rebelled against our Creator. We are the ones who have sinned, and are under the curse of Law. And it is in this state that God in Christ redeems the ungodly, how marvelous is that. This is where we should spend our time. Knowing Justification by Faith Alone is the crux of the Gospel, because the church stands or falls upon this doctrine, without it, there is no redemption, no hope, no life, no reconciliation.
Read Luther's Galatians & Romans commentaries. Trust me, knowing this doctrine will open God's word, on how to rightly divide God's word. Law-Gospel juxaposition in relation to justification by faith alone. Those passages in Galatians I quoted is what Paul is contrasting, the Law that brings death, and Christ who brings life. There is no 3 category; there's no middle ground here RV. So know that sinners are only saved in Christ Alone through Faith Alone. So don't allow anyone to rob you of this crown, because we cannot add anything to what Christ accomplished for sinners who believe in the announcement of what God in Christ accomplished.
Also pick up this book, The Cross of Christ by John Stott. Also read James Buchanan, The Doctrine of Justification.
Read Paul, Romans and Galatians. And let know if you need any help.
