Postmillennialist here!!!
It sure was.Right now, Postmillennialism is leading.
It’s ongoing now. When was the millenium?
Indeed it is.I agree; but, isn't that amillenialism...?
There are a lot of parallels to both systems, overlaps, if you will. However, postmill teaches that the church over time, will Christianize the vast majority of the world. There is an optimistic amill position, but I don't think they see a time when Christianity covers the earth as the waters do the seas.I agree; but, isn't that amillenialism...?
You need to cast a vote, if'n you don't mind. Glad you are here.Pre-mil, pre-trib, looking forward to the Lord Jesus coming and correcting us all. But very comfortable with my views.
Didn't see the "vote" portion. Done. You need to cast a vote, if'n you don't mind. Glad you are here.
I think the world used to be a lot more Christian than it is now. This was why I wondered if you thought that the millenium had come and gone and that it was Satan's short time now. There are a lot of parallels to both systems, overlaps, if you will. I don’t see the world getting any better either. Especially not Christianized.I think the world used to be a lot more Christian than it is now. This was why I wondered if you thought that the millenium had come and gone and that it was Satan's short time now.
I saw some stats from a recent poll of "Evangelical Christians" in America, and the results were shocking, to put it mildly. If I recall correctly, I think it was 4% (!!!) of Evangelicals whose professed worldview was biblical. There were many such shocking results, and the latter generations are much worse than the older generations (from "baby boomers" onwards).
That’s the misconception with those who don’t know all postmillennialism teaches. It does not teach a steady upward trajectory but times when things look really dark. It feel out of favor with a lot after WWII.I think the world used to be a lot more Christian than it is now. So, the church loses out in the end. She has failed her mission to make disciples of (not in) all the nations. Christ has to come and rescue his defeated bride, who lost out to Satan.I don’t see the world getting any better either. Especially not Christianized.
Catechized I see, by the world.
