What Does God Mean When He Says He is One?

I would offer ...

Gibberish. I have no idea what you are talking about. What I do know is that you are a cultist. Listen carefully Mr. GLee, christians can disagree over issues like: "old earth or young earth creationisms," "baptisms," and "continuationism and cessationism," etc. These issues do not define a person to be a cultist because these are considered peripheral doctrines (that is, they are doctrines over which people can freely disagree). Other doctrines of the Christian faith are so essential that if you deny one or more of them, you are no longer truly Christian.

Now the word cultist in context is not a derogatory term referring to a group of crazy people following a dynamic and charismatic leader who urges them and forces them to do all kind sorts of strange things. So, it's not derogatory in that sense, but that people (someone like you) have deviated and departed from the normative basic fundamental doctrines of Christianity. I personally define a cult, as "a perversion, a distortion of Biblical Christianity and/or a rejection of the historic teachings of the Christian church." Even Paul said: "For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached" (2 Corinthians 11:4), "Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ" (Galatians 1:6-9), and Peter said: "They will secretly introduce destructive heresies," and "...exploit you with fabricated stories" (2 Peter 2:1-3).

You fit perfectly with numbers 1-4:

1. Perversion of the Gospel
2. Distortion of Biblical Terminologies
3. Rejection of Historical/Theological Terminologies
4. Deviation from Essential Doctrines

Would you kindly reframe from posting your gibberish-talk to me. Thanks. Enjoy your day.

Thanks for the reply. .

Christians can disagree over issues like: "old earth or young earth creationisms," "baptisms," and "continuationism and cessationism,

"But they cannot disagree with your private interpretation as a personal commentary called a heresy, a sect ?

Jesus our brother in the lord is not ashamed to call Christians brother and sisters, as the bride of Christ the mother of us all .Like with Paul a surrogate mother who in birth pains planted the gospel seed until Chrsit the spirul sed was formed and a a mother promised Timothy the chaste virgin bride to her husband Christ

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Jesus the Son of man our brother in the Lord was not exempt from dying mankind. That the Father spoke through Jesus his prophet . . . . declaring dying mankind must be born again. Marvel not, marveling, wondering is not believing trusting

His living word is not gibberish-talk. Perhaps the spiritual understanding is hid in those parables ?

Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

But they cannot disagree with your private interpretation as a personal commentary called a heresy, a sect ?

Do you wish to disagree over the essentials? The essential doctrines of the Christian faith are those doctrines that make the Christian faith Christian and not something else.

1. Trinity
2. Deity of Christ
3. Bodily resurrection of Christ
4. Atonement of Christ
5. Grace through faith

These doctrines so comprise the essence of the Christian faith that to remove any of them is to make their belief system non-Christian.

1. Do you deny the Trinity? Yes or No.
2. Do you deny the Deity of Christ? Yes or No.
3. Do you deny the bodily resurrection of Christ? Yes or No.
4. Do you deny the atonement of Christ? Yes or No.
5. Do you deny grace through faith? Yes or No.

If you are claiming to be a Christian and rejecting one of more essential doctrines of the Christian faith, then you are considered to be a heretic. Do you know the difference between peripheral doctrines and essential doctrines?

1. Trinity
2. Deity of Christ
3. Bodily resurrection of Christ
4. Atonement of Christ
5. Grace through faith

Trinity was developed to enable a queen mother from heaven alone with what are called patron saints (3,515 ) his and hers gods and new recruits from Rome added . A hierarchy of dying mankind . In that way two is a company, three or more crowd

Two (Elohim) is the word that denotes eternal God not seen has spoken through the temporal dying things Jesus our brother in the Lord ..not temporal coming from dying mankind, Jesus the Son of man

The prescription needed to rightly divide the parables is a must .

The temporal historical must be compared and mixed with the unseen eternal thing of Christ . One of the more valuable tools needed to rightly divide the parables .

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

One Holy Spirit that works in the Christ the husband or father empowering the Son of man (bride )

No mixing. . no gospel rest.

Grace through his work of Christ's faith a labor of His love

A blessing given to others in equality from the Father and the Lord Jesus.
This supports the fact that Jesus is God!

Yes, Jesus as the Christ not seen is God. Not the son of man Jesus...no power

God is not a Hebrew man (dying creation) .

Yes, the Son of Man Jesus because being the Son of Man (Acts 7:56) He is the proper recipient of prayer which proves He is God (Acts 7:59-60).

All those letters of salutation from the Father and Son, but no Holy Spirit?

Any one of those salutations from God and Jesus could have included the Holy Spirit.
Anyone could have easily said “grace unto you from God our Father, the Holy Spirit, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe the reason is that they knew of only one God who is the Father, and one Lord who is Jesus Christ.

It is the one God and Father of Jesus who made Jesus to be Lord of his disciples and children. Which means that the Father exalted His son to the highest position possible. And has given him the name above all names. His own name.

Do you fail to see this?

Romans 1:1-4
1 Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 Which He had promised afore through His prophets in the holy Scriptures,
3 Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Get back to me if you need more.

Who could ever need more than that! That settles the matter as to why none of the salutations of the letters don’t mention he Holy Spirit. Thanks. You nailed it.

Amen. The Deity of Christ is an amazing grace.
