The NASB correctly applies "Master" (from the Greek word, despotēs) in reference to the Lord Jesus. The KJV does not. This is a powerful proof that Jesus is God, since the "Master" of every Christian is in reference to Jesus (Jude 4) in equality with that of the Father (cf. Acts 4:24).

Your right, I don't see enough difference in Act 15:37. I know there are a few problems with all translations, but compared to the Minority Text the problems in the Majority Text are miniscule.

Only a few omit "on the children of disobedience" in Colossians 3:6. Good catch.

1Jn is another good catch. But when we compare the KJV with these modern translations we see a far many omissions in the modern translations.

Hi! Thanks for your reply and question. Of all the sites and replies I've received you are one of a few people that are concerned about taking away from the Word! This may seem to be too long of an answer, but the Bible translation problem is now a big problem! It all comes down to the great deception (and I'm not on a translation vendetta) that began with Satan opposing God's Word when he said, "Yes, hath God said," presenting doubt concerning God's Word (Gen 3:1).

It is the conviction of godly translators that all of the modern translations (except the NKJV and a few others like it) are the work of the devil to attack Christians at the Bible level, because its the only tangible item that believers have from God. Thus the three oldest manuscript copies (there are no known extant autographs of those who wrote the Bible) that represent the entirety of that which opposes the traditional Bible, which Christians have used for the last 500 years, are all they have as their Bible witnesses vying for acceptance. The translations produced by these antiquated manuscripts are what many are now saying is the true Word of God as opposed to the traditional Bibles.

There are only two primary sources of manuscript copies from which all translations are derived: The Majority Text; the Minority Text. The MT has 80% of manuscript evidence of the New Testament. The other has only 10% of manuscript witnesses. The reason why the later source comes up so short is that early scribes would reject these few manuscripts for copying purposes and so did not wear out like the other manuscripts. Thus these earliest manuscripts fell into disuse and did not encounter the normal wear like the MT manuscripts. The more copies you have (MT-5000 manuscripts - the other source only a few manuscripts, but are the oldest--but most corrupted) the more certain the truth! Through omissions,, interpolations (add misguiding information) and transpositions (rearranging of words) is how they corrupted their texts.

There is an excess of variations between these two sources that it was necessary to separate them. The Minority Text has totally and partially omitted passages, and no surprise that some of them leave out partial passages that demonstrates the Deity of the Lord Jesus.

A couple examples:

Jn 3:13 "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." (KJV). All the modern translations (except NKJV and the few Bibles like it) omit the words "who is in heaven," which detracts from an encouraging truth, that the Lord Jesus was omnipresent in heaven while on earth.

1Jn 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are one." This is the primary Trinity passage in the entire Bible, and they totally omitted it.

The most difficult error made in these modern translations is one that I can't understand. It's in the Hebrew of the OT at 2Sam 21:19. They left out the phrase "the brother of," which contradicts 1Chron 20:5. It's common knowledge among translators that the scribes made an error in this passage by not including the phrase, but the modern translators left it as is.

You may or may not know that the KJ translators italicized word not found in the manuscripts, to avoid being accused of adding to Scripture. That's why in the KJV it is italicized, to render a correct reading.
