Justification by the faith OF Jesus Christ

You think you know that. What you think you know is wrong. Born of water and Spirit is regeneration. That action is perfectly well described in Acts 2:38.
You read that into Acts 2:38 ? Thats funny, Acts 2:38 doesnt say that !

What else would you call the forgiveness of sin and receipt of the gift of the Holy Spirit?

The forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit
Do you know what regeneration is? If you do, could you give us your explanation or description of it? What does it mean to be born again. What are the results of it. Why is even called "born again" and "regeneration".

Acts 2:38 says nothing about regeneration. All Salvation is conditioned on Christ, to include regeneration. The ones in Acts 2:38 who Peter spoke to, had already been regenerated, thats why they had spiritual awareness and concern, they had been spiritually made alive

Where does is say anything about their being already regenerated?

Thread Title: Justification by the faith OF Jesus Christ

Aside: Maybe it's a grammatical issue but if not I submit ....
No one is justified by Jesus Christ's (God's) faith. God does not have faith.

Premise 1: Faith is: The assent of the mind to the truth of a proposition or statement for which there is not complete evidence; belief in general.
Premise 2: God knows all things
Conclusion: Since FAITH requires a lack of knowledge and God knows all things it is not possible for God to have FAITH. Therefore it is not possible for someone to be saved "by the faith OF Jesus Christ"

You think pricked, cut, pierced to the heart is regeneration? I understand that to be a common view, but I think that is simply not true.
Why do sinner get pricked, cut, ir pierced? Is this the Holy Spirit or some inherent goodness in the sinner?

Why? Because they realize, as did those hearing Peter, that they did something wrong that they didn't know how to undo.

What does this cutting, prickering, do and how does it come about?

Nevertheless, Jesus as Son of man, one of us, taking our place, had complete and perfect faith/trust in God to obey Him in everything all the way to the cross. And that is the faith we are to have, which of course even as the redeemed we do not always have. This faith that Jesus demonstrated by His life is a part of His righteousness. So there is a sense in which this faith is included in the righteousness of Christ that is imputed to us.

Whether that is what Paul was referring to, I cannot say with certainty.

Agreed ... I didn't want my post to go down that relevant tangent as the Son of man's faith does not save us either. .... hmmmm, though I'm not sure how one would prove that from logic or scripture.

Our faith must be placed in Jesus for we do not have in actuality His faith, any more than we are actually perfectly righteous at the moment. The faith that He possessed is imputed right along with His righteousness as that is a part of righteousness.
