Greetings Carbon,

I suggest that we all fail to keep the law "Thou shalt not covet":
Romans 7:7–11 (KJV): 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

Kind regards
Trevor

False. "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect"

Nobody yet, but Christ, has done that.

God did not command Adam to do what he could not do. But since then, all the commands he gave Adam, and by extension humanity, regarding his moral responsibility as his image bearers to have dominion over the earth and in our relationships with him and one another; they all still stand as commands over all people. That means perfectly and all the time. And that we cannot do.

For those who insist that God would not command what we cannot do, I wonder why they think Jesus' perfect righteousness was so important?

False.
God tells us to not sin and none of us can. He holds us responsible for what we cannot do.
that would be an injustice, are you accusing God of being unjust?

God provides all our needs of those who are in Christ strong by His grace! Jn 15:4 apart from me you can do nothing.

with Christ we can do all things!

prayer, the practice of virtue, the gifts and fruits of the spirit and suffering all supply the defects of our fallen nature!

Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shallbe opened unto you:

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Matthew 10:38
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn ofme; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Phil 1:29
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

1 pet 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

True sometimes and false sometimes.

God commanded the law be kept which no one did.
God commanded Abraham to leave his homeplace and go to another land which he did.

This is usually the reason why most doctrines shouldn't be pigeonholed into an either/or, because one can find scripture that agrees with it and opposes it.

Is this true or false? Why or why not?
False. . .

Justice requires our obedience to God. . .that we are unable to obey does not change the matter.
What is your reasoning?
We are spiritually dead in trespasses and sins. . .dead men can do nothing spiritual.

Disability does not relieve me of my just debts.

So, was Adam's will free "relative to God" as DialecticSkeptic phases it

In other words, did God's will or Adam's will determine that Adam would sin?
Both. . .

Free will is the ability to choose, without external force or constraint, what one prefers.

And God is able to work in the disposition giving one to prefer, which one then freely chooses.

If God commanded what we could not do, then we would not be at fault for not doing it. In Romans 10:5-8, Paul referenced Deuteronomy 30 as the word of faith that we proclaim in regard to proclaiming that God’s law is not too difficult for us to obey and that obedience to it brings life and a blessing while disobedience brings death and a curse, so choose life!

False. "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect"

Nobody yet, but Christ, has done that.
In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus was speaking about having a love that is full or complete where we don’t just love those who love us, but also love our enemies, not telling people who have already sinned that they need to be sinless.

A command does not imply ability. Do you believe we can keep all 10 commandments?

Some say the 10 commandments were given to show us that we can't keep Gods commandments.
In Romans 10:5-8 Paul referenced Deuteronomy 30 as the word of faith that we proclaim in regard to proclaiming that God’s law is not to difficult to obey and that obedience to it brings life and a blessing while disobedience brings death and a curse, so choose life! So the people who say that are denying the word of faith that we proclaim.

The Bible refers to many people who did keep God’s law, such as those in Joshua 22:1-3, Luke 1:5-6, Revelation 14:12, and Revelation 22:14.
