Fruit Of The Spirit

I've given you multiple similar scenarios and asked if.... YOU are to blame and you're ignoring them. It doesn't matter if God started it. You're claiming that because God created all things that He is responsible for bad things. This is preposterous. You don't operate under the same parameters as you're forcing upon God.

If you built a car and then sold it.... and the buyer had an accident and died....are you responsible for that death?
Depends if there was something wrong with the car or if the new owner misused the car. Didn't follow instructions for its use or failed to follow the rules of the road.

What God set in motion upon the creation of the universe, TIME-and-space, and man He is responsible for all that happens with regard to all His creation.
He didn't wind up the clock and let it run. He is intimately involved with what He set in motion and what goes on down here and across the universe.
He's not a Deist.

A farmer doesn't bury good seed in bad, unprepared ground.
In the parable of the sower the seed was good but notice the condition of the ground and what was produced.
In this parable there is nothing wrong with the Seed (which is the Word of God.)
But having bad seed (like the NIV) planted in bad ground doesn't produce anything good.
Either make the tree good or make the tree bad/evil.
A good tree is known by it's fruit.
A bad tree is known by its lack of fruit.
Good does not come from evil. Sin does not come from holy.
But having bad seed (like the NIV) planted in bad ground doesn't produce anything good
This doesn’t make sense.? Imo/ belief.

I’m in the vine..birthed in the Spirit....the Spirit is the fruit bearer....?...if we’re in the true vine..we will produce his fruit, no question about it...it doesn’t happen in an instance though....it’s the Spirit working in and through us that produces the fruit.

You didn't deal with the part that clearly said "I ALONE HAVE ESCAPED".... Do you care to pay attention to ALL of the narrative? You have a 'forest for the trees" issue here.
It was a given. A servant escaped as per God's permission and ordination.

You don’t know my heart.,sorry..only the Living God does.
Right. And God's word says we don't even know our own hearts. If that is the case, how can we think we know someone else's heart?

God knows us more than we know ourselves.....that’s why I LOVE that my Life is in his hands....Praise God...he even knows the amount of hairs on my head ....how MIGHTY is our God....

Matthew 10:30-31 In-Context
30 God even knows how many hairs are on your head. 31 So don't be afraid. You are worth much more than many sparrows. 32 "All those who stand before others and say they believe in me, I will say before my Father in heaven that they belong to me.

And God's word says we don't even know our own hearts.
??????
The following verse suggests we know our own heart (thoughts).
1 Cor. 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him?

What do you have that suggests otherwise in Gods word? Maybe a verse I can't think of ....

Aside: Not that this is an important subject (giggle)

The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
Jer 17:9.

Maybe you're the exception? If so, I apologize.

Oh, would you be so kind as to explain how this is referring to the heart? And does not have another meaning?

If not, no worries, it's not an important subject.

Hmmm ... well, that is a verse for your side potentially. It assumes ones heart is deceitful to itself though. The definition of "deceit" I find indicates "deceit" applies to others, not oneself:
  • the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid
  • the act or practice of deceiving; concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading; duplicity; fraud; cheating
  • (an act of) keeping the truth hidden, especially to get an advantage
You have example of you deceiving (misleading/lying/concealing) yourself?

Maybe you're the exception? If so, I apologize.
I get lots of things wrong but I know of no time I have 'deceived' (mislead/lied/concealed) myself.
Maybe I like myself more than you like yourself .... giggle ... j/k

Again, not this this topic is a BIG DEAL

I know it's not a big deal, but your the one that brought it up. And since you did, I just think it's a good idea to look at what Paul was teaching in context.

6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. 7 But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—
10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
1 Cor 2.

Re: 1 Cor. 2:11 For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him?

Calvin: "for every one is conscious of his own thoughts, and on the other hand what lies hid in any man’s heart, is unknown to another."
https://www.studylight.org/commentaries/eng/cal/1-corinthians-2.html

I'll argue from authority ... Calvin says the verse indicates one knows his own thoughts. Heart is analogous to thoughts.
The verse is about no one knowing the heart/thought of others save oneself ... .that we don't know the heart/thoughts of God.
Thus, getting back to the unimportant subject at hand, the verse seems to indicate that we do not DECEIVE ourselves.

Again, I invite you to give example of how you are currently deceiving yourself as evidence that people deceive themselves.

If not, no worries, it's not an important subject.
Agreed .. giggle

@Carbon ... I'll give you final say on this unimportant discussion .... giggle

@fastfredy0 ..I Love the humour in some of your posts..” giggle”:😂🤣😂🙏🙏🥰🥰😘
Thanks Rita .... there is a need to lighten things up on a forum .... and there a lot of material to laugh at when it comes to my personality so that is an aid.

Things are so serious most the time...need some levity IMO.

I agree 100%... 💗🙏

This was written by jeremiah1five earlier, "You can't get doctrine from a translation because languages are different,"

With reference to the Greek and Hebrew ancient languages, this idea does not work. For if languages are all different, and Hebrew and Greek are languages, they are also different. And so the argument collapses in on itself.

By point of fact, the oldest known language in the world is actually Indian Tamil. So you would have to show that the Hebrew language is some kind of special divine language first. You would also have to prove what language Adam and Eve spoke.

As to not being able to get any doctrine out of a translation, which is a known language, that is patently false and you should be blushing of shame to say such a stupid thing. I didn't say you are stupid, I said you said a stupid thing. There is no malice here.

When a King James Only person says you cannot understand the spirit of God because you are using a different translation of the Bible, you know they are talking out of their donut hole. A translation is used by everybody because that is what language IS; and God is not confined to one language only, or just one translation, since he clearly uses multiple languages and translations to spiritually regenerate people, which can be PROVEN through multiple testimonies.

As far as the controversy goes, the best thing to do would be to study the origins of the Gail Riplinger book and rebuttals of it on various media on the internet, and obtain an academic education in the different Bible translations and the reasons the translators give for their productions, so as not to fall into the trap of having the letter kill, because the spirit is alive.

You gotta be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
Can't be harmless if you force sand in the mouth of a horse.
