The resurrected who were absolved of all sin at death will be given an opportunity to learn and apply Gods will with no satan influences around for the 1000 years. They will experience Gods plan for mortals on his earth--But then satan gets loosed for a little while to test their faith-those faithful get their names written in Gods book of life, the unfaithful get destroyed.
