We don't see it here, just as we didn't see WW II here until late into the war. According to one of the military leaders in Ukraine (I believe former) said that North Korea already has troops in Ukraine, and Iran has had their people in Ukraine indiscrimanately killing people. China is still eyeing Taiwan, and is also targeting Japan for possible economic sanctions. Russia is setting up the board to drag NATO into the war, and President Biden handed Putin what he needs to be able to drag NATO into the war. Norway is facing increased pressure from Russia in Svalbard, which the USSR had evacuated from, but Russia returned and since June of this year, it is believed that Russia is targeting it. There are various resources that can be mined there.

Several days ago, a documentary type video showed up on youtube that talks about how close Israel is to being able to rebuild the temple. It also talked about how the Palestinians and the world are no longer enforcing all the regulations/laws regarding what Israelis can do on the temple mount. They have already had priests on the mount, and, supposedly, the latest descendant of Aaron gave a prayer and has had small ceremonies on the temple mount. (I'm not sure I believe that, but things seem to be getting serious.) The Temple Society already has all the necessary items for inside the temple, all the vestments for the priest and high priest, following biblical instruction, and even have the red heifers required for dedicating the temple once built. They had to have those imported because they aren't native.

And then, there are articles from scientists on how the world is getting close to destroying itself, and that it has happened before. The magnetic field is supposedly getting ready to reverse, and when that happens, it isn't going to some small little change, but will be a major world wide disaster, and we will find ourselves back in the stone age. The natural disasters will be cataclysmic.

Due to how things have been going, I have had thoughts due to scripture. Our technology has gotten to the point that we are on the cusp of doing things, planned out and getting ready to go, that the Bible says we are not going to do. Apologies to all the science fiction fans, but we are stuck here on Earth, our place of habitation. Visiting the moon is not the same as habitation, but in the near future, they have planned out colonies on the moon and mars. I believe the plan for Mars is within the decade. I believe there is a reason the human body starts breaking down after leaving Earth. We really are bound to Earth by God.

What exactly is your point? I do not ask in a rude manner but in all sincerity. Is it about rebuilding the temple, World War III, or colonizing Mars? If about the temple trying to be rebuilt by Christ deniers, how are you relating that with this:

Most people don't know just how much work the Jews have put into rebuilding the temple.

Israel did become a nation in 1948.
The nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39....are currently aligned as per biblical prophecy.
Currently it looks like the Abrahamic Accord may be the future peace treaty (covenant) mentioned in Daniel 9:27.

As for the people of the world destroying itself-ourselves...won't happen.
There will be no nuclear war that wipes out the earth...why? The bible doesn't say it ends that way. But, that doesn't mean a city or two can't be nuked.

The reversing of the magnetic poles...????.....You would have to find something in Revelation that would be described that as happening and the effects from it.
Some say the Good Friday comet of 2029 may be Wormwood....all we can do is speculate.

There is no need or requirement for a future temple.

God destroyed the temple because it was a rejection of Jesus and helped the Jews keep their eyes off of Jesus.

God has also allowed the temple to the mount to be on the Jewish temple location for a reason to stop the Jews from building another temple.

I would offer. So we can be aware of the abomination of desolation " dying Kings in Israel". Not all Israel are born again Israel some remained as outward Jews after Jacob (deceiver) .

We are to look to the eternal not seen not temporal dying things.

It has to do with signs of the end time. War which could devastate the world, if Russia carries through on nuclear doctrine. It has to do with the rebuilding of the temple, which if that happens, sacrifices begin again anew, and God proves once and for all that the 70 weeks prophecy has a gap. I think that is why everyone says it doesn't have to happen, or it won't happen, even though all the pieces are coming into place which say we should be watching, or fail to see the coming season.

As for the technology part, it is just to say that either this world is coming to an end soon, or we are going to blow ourselves back into the stone age, or the planet will face the cataclysms some scientists say are coming, which will send us back to the stone age. This is the eschatology section, correct? Our threads are to be related to that, I believe. I tacked on the technology section and didn't update the thread title (oops). There are a lot of things that are happening, which, if you look through the thread here, people say aren't/won't happen, or don't need to simply due to their interpretation of eschatology.

That is actually a theory I have in the back of my mind. (The Abrahamic Accord). An accord is a kind of treaty/covenant. It already exists, and Trump may strengthen it again, as he pledged to if he had won in 2020. As far as the temple is concerned, it is possible that any outcome to the war/strife in the area could be Israel finally getting the right to rebuild the temple. Supposedly they don't even have to move or destroy the dome of the rock. That is why the world and Palestinians turning a blind eye to what is going on on the Temple Mount is kind of a big deal.

Science says it is coming, and it is known to have happened before. (It can be seen in the rocks.) I bring it up because what they say would happen seems to be more or less in line with eschatology. If I recall, the first set of events on Earth are natural disasters. That's the reason why I bring it up. I don't believe what the scientists say, per se, but it doesn't sound out of line with eschatology. God may use that. No one knows when it will happen, they just say it is coming. It is a lot of speculation. I don't subscribe heart and soul to the above, but am watching it. As more things happen, then it will become more clear as to whether these are the signs to look for or not. If the temple is built, and the sacrifices start again in earnest, it would be a definitive sign.

For premillennialism, there is a need/requirement. It is where the abomination of desolation will occur, and where the beast will pronounce his boasts against the most high God. (Daniel's prophecy of the four beasts.) The early church fathers, after 70 AD, keep bringing up the temple in regards to eschatology.

I will also prove that the events to take place will be the Antichrist, in union with Sata, standing in the temple (a wing of the temple?) and declaring himself to be God, putting an end to the sacrifices, and all other religions in the world. Worship the beast and his image or die. No other religions will be permitted from that time forward. This will be the closest Satan gets to realizing his dream of taking the place of God. He won't be successful, but it will be the closest he gets.

The Bible does not say there will be or must be a war that will devastate the world.

The Bible does not say that a third temple will be rebuilt. It does not say that the animal sacrifices will be reinstated.

The Bible does not say that we are to be watching for signs of the coming season. So why are so many doing that and using the signs of the times to interpret the Bible?

In Matt 16 the Pharisees and Sadducees were testing him as to his identity by asking for a sign from heaven. Jesus replied, 2-3 "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.' And in the morning, 'it will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times." And then what did he say? 4.An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah." So he left them and departed.

Is it any different for the Pharisees and Saducees to seek a sign to verify that Jesus was the promised Messiah, than it is for modern day Christians to look for signs in the world that his return is imminent?

Jesus does not say that we are to be watching for signs of what season it is in that regard. He says be ready. He simply says watch and pray. He says keep your lamps filled with oil, no matter how long the delay.

God is no more dependent on world events or advances in technology than he is dependent on the weather to walk on the water, or dependent on anything in order to make the sun stand still or the shadow go backwards. He says he will return when you least expect it.

As for the technology part, it is just to say that either this world is coming to an end soon, or we are going to blow ourselves back into the stone age, or the planet will face the cataclysms some scientists say are coming, which will send us back to the stone age.

Is this shown in the Bible to be a prerequisite for the return of Christ? Or that either thing will happen?

I suggest you get a good comprehensive study Bible to help with some of these interpretations. I recommend the Reformation Study Bible as it gives historic and cultural things that play into the interpretation. And those things are important. On these disputed matters it also gives all the main interpretations of difficult passages and the reasoning behind it. It is a very good and reliable source.
