Look over all of history and there never was a time in which all of those things were taking place somewhere. Tunnel vision is the bane of those looking for signs of His second coming. He tells us it will be as a thief in the night. Suddenly and without preamble. Thus He says, and is often ignored in the search for signs, "Be ready!"

Indeed! My fav example is the 1500s: Black Plague, religious war in which the dominant force is a state religion, invasion of Islam, the Little Ice Age. Covers all the bases.

Let's go back to the important phrase of the passage. "The end" of what? The world? The 70 weeks? Temple Judaism"? Since Dan 9:24-27 is a pretty accurate miniature of NT history, I go with the "age" of the 70 weeks.

We must, after all, explain why, after 40 days of instruction in Moses and the Prophets, there is still one question hanging (didn't get covered): what about a kingdom period for Israel? How could Jesus possibly spend 40 days on these things and this question hang? Because something else truly prophetic was just about to happen. Peter launches with "These are the last days...!"

The last days could logically be considered as the last days of creation as we know it, filled with sin, and death, and evil, that affects all of creation. It is also legitimate in that case to consider the last days as those following the the first coming of until His return in judgement and the utter removing of evil for all eternity, followed by the new heaven and the new earth.

That fits what we have already experienced, is being experienced now, and will be until the end of these days. Jesus says in Matt in regard to wars that it is not the end but birth pangs. Revelation then becomes, not a depiction of chronological and separate series of judgments, but the same thing being observed from different perspectives. And there is an element of historical re-cap, so to speak, given from the perspective of heaven. The things happening that are not visible to us.

That cannot be said without taking other things into consideration. We know of them in relation to the whole world because we have access to what is happening worldwide in a way we never did before. There are more people than ever before and the earth has been inhabited in a progressive manner over its face. Geographically.
