All three are judge.
I pray you are okay. I had a fall a week ago on rocks and gravel at the lake, but all is okay, with a small exception~ I busied my arms up pretty bad and a little sore. That's the second time I have fallen in the past month~at 76, I'm not as sure on my feet as I was a few years back. Both times were preventable with a little more caution on my part.I need to be brief because I had an accident. A fall and my back is very bad...plus foot and knee.
But were we not told Tim 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth?
To show thyself approved..........
If you do not study God will still re-birth whom He chooses?
So glad Jimmy messed up , yet againThe word "study" is not in the verse.
Yes. . .
Jn 3:3-5 presents the new birth by sovereign (based on nothing but himself) choice the Holy Spirit, as unaccountable as the wind (Jn 3:6-8).

In fact, John 3:3-5 does not present any basis, sovereign or otherwise, for who is born again. And verses 6-9 are not about accountability to the one giving birth again, but about the physical evidence concerning the person having been born again.Jn 3:3-5 presents the new birth by sovereign (based on nothing but himself) choice the Holy Spirit, as unaccountable as the wind (Jn 3:6-8).

King James Bible
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Amplified Bible
Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.
The word "study" is not in the Greek.Douay-Rheims Bible
Carefully study to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
Webster's Bible Translation
Study to show thyself approved to God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Not a good look to ignore the Greek, where there is no word "study," as in the following:The rest we will ignore cause they are into works such as
New International Version
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
New Living Translation
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
ESV 2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truthThe word "study" is not in the verse.
The unaccountable blowing wind is a figure of the Holy Spirit, not of birth. In fact, John 3:3-5 does not present any basis, sovereign or otherwise, for who is born again. And verses 6-9 are not about accountability to the one giving birth again, but about the physical evidence concerning the person having been born again.
ESV 2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth
KJV 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
NASB 2Ti 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
From Strong's:
As is "labor" (e.g., scrubbing floors, teaching, writing).G4704
σπουδάζω
spoudazō
spoo-dad'-zo
From G4710; to use speed, that is, to make effort, be prompt or earnest: - do (give) diligence, be diligent (forward), endeavour, labour, study.
Seems as if "study" is a perfectly good translation/interpretation of the Greek word σπουδάζω [spoudazō]"
I didn't propose "labor" and no one else has either. Even so, "Labor to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth," could be a perfectly acceptable translation/interpretation.As is "labor" (e.g., scrubbing floors).
So you think Jesus is telling us we don't know where the Holy Spirit comes from? The unaccountable blowing wind is a figure of the Holy Spirit, not of birth.
Contraire. . .I didn't propose "labor" and no one else has either. Even so, "Labor to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth," could be a perfectly acceptable translation/interpretation.
Your statement that "study" is not in that verse is simply false.
It's about accountability--being answerable (required to give an answer), not about the location of the Holy Spirit. So you think Jesus is telling us we don't know where the Holy Spirit comes from?
Jesus of Nazareth is the complex Person of God and man – He possesses both complete natures.
I showed you from Strong's that "study" is a translation/interpretation of the Greek word σπουδάζω.Contraire. . .
The word "study" is not in the Greek of that verse.
I fully agree that the Sonship of Jesus Christ is the combination of God the Word and a human nature in a single Being~as far as Dyophysitism~to me it is the same as what I said, that Jesus was a complex person. The official doctrine of Christology is the Hypostatic Union and Dyophysitism.
I said it as plainly as I know how:What I'm asking you is what is a Complex Jesus?
Jesus of Nazareth is the complex Person of God and man – He possesses both complete natures.

COMPLEX,
COMPLEXED, adjective
1. Composed of two or more parts or things (Webster 1828 dictionary)
I said it as plainly as I know how:
Not a definitive one . .I showed you from Strong's that "study" is a translation/interpretation of the Greek word σπουδάζω.

Clearly more definitive than your assertion that it isn't there. Not a definitive one . .
