That's a tricky question Don...
Sola Scriptura versus Solo Scriptura...
I have been arguing against Solo Scriptura, which is 'the Bible is the Only Spiritual Authority'. Solo Scriptura is not one of the 5-Solas for a reason...
Sola Scriptura says the Bible is the HIGHEST (A)uthority; leaving room for other Spiritual (a)uthorities like Christians with the Spiritual Gift of Teaching...
Simply that Scripture is the sole judge of Judeo-Christian truth.

But I agree. The Godhead is higher; but Special Revelation is the Highest Spiritual Authority we have now. In Heaven? I suspect I will be taught some New Spiritual Truth; but for now, Scripture is the Rule...

I'll tell you what would work on me Don. Showing that the Pope is a Biblical Under Shepherd who has the Spiritual Gift of Teaching, instead of being the Vicar of Christ who is an Over Sheperd equal with Christ...

Can you show us in scripture where Jesus Christ or Paul or Peter or any Apostles ever taught anything about a “Pope” ruling over the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ from Rome?
Pope is simply an Italian name meaning father. Comes from Isa 22:21-22 as the head of a family is called father so the visible head of the church on earth is called father.
Christ is the only head of the church yes, but Peter acts on His behalf as His personal representative, Christ acts vicariously thru Peter and His successors. Hence the vicar of Christ.
Peter received the “keys of the kingdom” jurisdictional authority to govern the church with the apostles until Christ returns. Matt 16:18-19
This same authority belong to the successors of Moses, Matt 23:1-3and Christ demanded that it be obeyed, then it was taken from them and given to Peter and the apostles.

I wouldn't say that Jesus established Saint Peter as Pope, because Saint James concluded the Council of Jerusalem. Saint James should be your Pope; he liked Works...
I don't want this to be a Debate over Roman Catholicism; I don't Mind being a part of a Debate about Sola Scriptura (I saw a Post elsewhere deleted because it's off Topic). Since it's in the Bible, I would say the Council of Jerusalem was only a Council; and a Council of Twelve instead of a Council of One, an Inspired Council because it's Bible...
Saint James fed Christs Sheep too; right? Isn't it true that Scripture established Councils, not Popes?

Yes but Peter feeds both sheep (apostles) and lambs people
No pope runs a council they appoint another to do so cos the successor of Peter is required to approve it

Sola Scriptura teaches that the Bible is the sole infallible source of authority for Christian faith and practice.
There are other sources (preaching, books, videos, etc.) but these are not infallible and are only correct inasmuch as they agree with the Bible, which is the inspired word of God.
