THE ACTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

You haven’t answer my question about being “sent” which is the definition of apostolos.
You make distinction where Scripture does not.
I have addressed it several times. All believers are sent ( apostles, little a ) and there are only 12 Apostles ( Big A ) who are the foundation stones of the church.

hope this helps !!!

The Holy Spirit didn't make distinction. The Holy Spirit used a little "a" when identifying an "apostolos" in Scripture.
I don't know if your wanting to show distinction where there is none is adding to the Bible or changing the Bible, or both?

Scripture/ Jesus make that distinction. He personally chose them , appointed them and they must be an eyewitness of His resurrection. Your argument is with Jesus not with me. It’s His criteria not mine. Don’t shoot the messenger:)

What I am saying is that the Holy Spirit who Authored the Greek texts did not make distinction of capitalization of apostle. It’s all little “a.” But you make distinction of little “a” and capital “A.” That’s where your error is.

But Jesus makes the distinction as does Paul who were the primary 12 Apostles and foundation of the church and who are the secondary apostles that are sent ( all believers ).

1 Cor 12:28-29
And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles

hope this helps !!!

No contradiction at all if you understand the primary and secondary meaning of an apostle. Look it up in any lexicon and you will see the biblical distinction I’m talking about in this thread . Paul is saying they are sent messengers of the gospel . You are I are as well . There are only 12 Apostles who are the foundation stones, the ones upon whom the church is built upon .
So why do you fight against the secondary meaning and deny you are an Apostle?
If that is your gift?

The 12 were sent out by Christ personally, which is a necessary distinction between them and us. 1 Corinthians 12:29 shows clearly we are not all apostles.

None are sent out in this fashion today, and not all are sent out to preach the Gospel IMHO.

But, all are to give an answer, or a defense, for the reason of the hope in them; 1 Peter 3:15.

In China (as an example), people travel far and wide not unlike Paul et al. planting home churches, and moving on once planted and established. They do this as they are called.

So I do not think "none" are sent out in this fashion. 👍

Well, yes, what I mean is they aren't sent out personally by Jesus as in the sense it was for the NT apostles.

So the qualification for a spiritual office is a natural act of seeing Jesus with ones eyes.

Let's not forget that we are nothing without the Holy Spirit.
It is Christ who is apostle. Christ is the prophet, Christ is the evangelist, Christ is the pastor, Christ is the teacher, Christ is IN HIS PEOPLE in ALL these Acts of the Holy Spirit of Christ.
To deny this Life of Christ in His people is to deny Christ.
This is the spirit of antichrist.
What God continued on the Day of Pentecost He continues until His return.
The Holy Spirit of Christ is in the world today in ALL His Power, Presence, and Authority.

I have not fought against the secondary one , only the primary one that there were no Apostles in the primary sense after Paul as he was the last of them as per 1 Cor 15- last of all HE ( JESUS ) appeared to me. An Apostle in the primary meaning was an Eyewitness of Jesus Resurrection and also personally picked by Jesus to be an Apostle.

That is why I personally believe Matthias was chosen in haste, not picked by Jesus and then He picked Paul as His Apostle on the road to Damascus. Matthias is never heard of after they picked him and most of the N.T. and Acts included Paul and his teachings/writings. This is debatable and its only my opinion.

hope this helps !!!

No nice try. There are qualifications for being an Apostles just the same as for being an elder which has certain qualifications. I listed those for an Apostle.

hope this helps !!!

It is Judas Iscariot whose name is on the foundation of the wall of the Great City. Him being an apostle of the Lamb.
What an honor for my Old Testament brother.

What you list and what Peter lists are two different things.
It is up to us to come to the knowledge of the truth and the truth being Peter was in error.
Or, Peter was choosing a treasurer. Either way he was in error. The command of Christ was to go to Jerusalem and tarry [wait.].
But instead of "sit down" Peter STOOD UP!

judas was replaced so the big question is it Mattias or Paul whos name is there.

You fail to understand that Christ doesn't replace.
Christ ADDS.

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Ac 2:41.

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Ac 2:47.

No 12 is 12, not 13,14,15,20,50 100 etc........

There are 12 Apostles- foundation stones.
