Grace is a communicable attribute of God. Both the Trinity and the Hypostatic Union doctrines teaches that attributes are of the nature and not of the person. For example, there is only one divine grace of God. The three persons shares in that same divine grace. And the same goes for the other divine attributes. Do you receive grace according to the Divine Nature or according to the Human Nature of Christ?
According to the Divine Nature:
According to the Human Nature:
My answer: According to the Divine Nature and from both the Father and the Son. After all, the Trinity teaches co-equal and clear proof of the Deity of Christ.
According to the Divine Nature:
John 1:14-18 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
According to the Human Nature:
Luke 2:40 And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.
52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
