Fruit Of The Spirit

Zechariah says Christ is the BRANCH and you accept it.
God says He created evil in Isaiah and you reject it.
You pick and choose.
That is dangerous to yourself and the people you may speak to about God.
The God of Truth doesn't use lies to minister to someone.
As a matter of fact, God uses everything, including the lies, to accomplish what he set out to do.

Many a believer has been brought to the Lord, through His use of a charlatan.

Not true.

Lotta' hat and no cowboy.

I still await your Biblical demonstration of my error.
That’s because I’m not a cowboy.

You pick and choose which Scripture to accept that fits your beliefs. That’s not being honest with Scripture. Honesty is of God but you’re not honest.

M point precisely. . .so why all the hat?

Scripture says God created evil. Do you accept that too? Or will you continue to pick and choose.
I will continue to interpret Scripture in light of and in agreement with itself.
And you should do the same.

God says He created evil in Isaiah 45:7.
You reject this truth.

Satan can't create a thing. There is only One Creator.

I believe this is a "play on words". I agree there is only One Creator. However, this does not preclude the fact that we also create things ourselves. We take what God has created and manipulate it to form/build things. We are creators in the semblance the great Creator. Often these "creations" are used for bad things.

In this case, Satan did create a wind/tornado to kill the children of Job. God didn't do this. God did allow it to happen. However, allowing something happen does not establish culpability.

You're referencing God overcoming Evil with God. Does not create evil. These are two entirely different things that you're treating as a single aspect. They are not.

Whether creating something out of something or creating something out of nothing angels can do neither.
Besides, all the angels that sinned against God were cast to hell and locked up in chains of darkness. All of them.

The children of Job were not killed. Study the words. Servants were killed.
And it wasn’t Satan that did all those things that happened to Job.
God did them.
If all the angels that sinned are cast into hell and in chains of darkness then the sons of God in Genesis 6 are definitely of the line of Seth.
Human believers who married non-covenant human daughters of men.

Mormon?

Job 1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

I believe these words.

It says “young men” it doesn’t say daughters anywhere

Look up “young men” in Strong’s and see if Job’s sons and daughters were killed.
At the end Job received double his possessions but not double the sons and daughters.
Look it up.

Job 1:18-19

New International Version

18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

I'm reading English. If you want to appeal to an ancient manuscript of some type, then please reference it.

Notice the "I alone part too..."

Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Not true.
The Spirit of Truth will not use lies to bring someone to Christ.
You will have a hard time proving that the majority of believers came to Christ through a perfect rendition of the Gospel.

I've gone a ways back in this forum, and have not found anywhere Eleanor rejects what the Scriptures say in Isaiah. Can you link it for me?

By the way, once again you are wrong here: The God of Truth uses all sorts of things people say, do and are, in order to bring the Elect to himself, and to harden the hearts of others. He even uses people's lies and hypocrisy, not to mention his using our stunted understanding and self-important notions.

Did I say he does or does not create evil? I didn't comment on that nor reference it. What are you talking about?

Maybe you meant to be answering someone else.

Truth doesn't come from a translation from whom it was derived from corrupt Greek texts from which all modern-day new-age English translations are from.
Use the King James Version as God oversaw its translation.

18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: 19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Job 1:18–19.

No mention of daughters. So, follow the evidence. WHO really died?

The word "young" is Strong's [#5288] and it means:
from <H5287> (na`ar); (concrete) a boy (as active), from the age of infancy to adolescence; by implication a servant; also (by interchange of sex), a girl (of similar latitude in age)

So, infants and adolescence were drinking wine in their eldest brother's house?
Or were they servants that died? It is implied they were servants, unless you want to accept winos as infants and adolescence partying it up.

There is no entry in Strong's for "men."

That should end it on who actually died? Servants died in the house.
Job's kids escaped because every day Job offered sacrifices for his kid's safety and well-being, and I am pretty sure God honored his prayers and sacrifices.
What a Dad!
