That’s an easy one. The two that stick out right away (among the living) Voddie Baucham and Sinclair Ferguson

Those are the ones that stick out.
Besides my three pastor friends.
I’ve liked some of Voddies preaching / teaching I’ve listened to lately .

He has done good points when it comes to youth ministry and youth pastors .

I love Voddie, I wish he would come around my area I’d love to meet him. He is an intelligent man if God.

My son in law who is a pastor loves him. One Saturday morning in our men’s discipleship group ( 4 of us ) he wanted to know what I thought about a Q/ A session he did on youth ministry . It was excellent and I told him I’ve always thought the same was Voddie does about youth ministry. It wouldn’t be easy to implement since we have a brand new youth building that cost a pretty penny. One of the men in our group loves our youth ministry so he gave a counter argument to voddies ideas. It was a great discussion we had that day .

We have some great discussions. My son in law leans Calvinist ( I challenge him all the time :) ) the other man is Arminian and the young seminary student who just became a father last week is a well read Calvinist and has a photographic memory . He is a book worm and reads everything lol . They all asked me if we could do a discipleship group so I said ok. They wanted to begin with what is a disciple. Now we are on the Trinity, Deity of Christ and the Holy Spirit and camping out on the H.S. Now. It’s really a great time of sharpening iron and seeing things from a different perspective.

I was thinking of Mt 7:22-23.
In Mathew 12:31-32, Jesus Christ asserts, “I say unto you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man [i.e., Jesus] will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.”

Likewise, Mark 3:28-30 declares, “Assuredly, I [Jesus Christ] say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” – because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”

The King of Preachers...
He was an awesome preacher.

I‘ve got quite a few of his books In my library.

Most of the time whenever I listen to a Spurgeon Sermon, it's somebody who is calmly reading Sermons. Whenever I read spurgeon, I kind of Imagine him getting a little excited...

At least this guy has a decent English accent..
That’s one of the things I love about Spurgeon—His passion. You can feel it just reading his sermons.
