There are huge problems with both the exegesis and the reasoning in Post 9. To begin with all the figurative examples (parables, visions, etc.) are treated as if they are literal and they are not. That's a huge error.

I never brought up a parable at all in my comment. And Daniel's vision was a view of the resurrection-day ascension of Christ - quite a literal event of the Son of Man coming to the Ancient of Days with the clouds of heaven and being given dominion, glory, and a kingdom over which He was its deathless high priest.

There are no such thing as lesser gods. Zeus does not actually exist. Hades does not actually exist. Pluto does not actually exist. Hel does not actually exist. Vulcan, Dis Pater, Anubis, Osiris, Milkom, Molech, Arawn, Nergal..... none of these gods actually exist!

All of those are just names that the Gentiles assigned to devils in order to worship them. As Paul once wrote in 1 Corinthians 10:20, "Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God..." Those devils became such when they began to accept human worship, and fell from their standing as originally-righteous angelic creatures made by God before this world began.

I have also come across some Lutherans that are also annihilationists. So the belief is found outside of JW, Open theism and SDA.

I don't subscribe to it either.
