Water Baptism

I mostly agree with this but where I disagree is that baptism in Christ name was explained what really is happening not just symbolic. If it was not water baptism which is recorded as being the one in the name of Jesus Christ the only one he authorized and commanded His Apostle to do then what is the baptism in question?
Read my post again and then ask questions that pertain to its content. In that post I explained what Paul was talking about and why he said what he said concerning the water baptism.

We were not actual crucified, died, or buried with water baptism were we? Therefore,(!!!!) the water baptism is symbolic of our position in Christ, our union with him. Just as he died and was buried and raised to life, so too THROUGH FAITH we are assured of our own resurrection. It is an outward covenant sign of our having died to sin which brings death, and of being raised to spiritual life in Him. Sin no longer has dominion over us to condemn or hold us as prisoners in the kingdom of darkness, slaves to sin. No where in Romans 6 or anywhere else, does it say that water baptism remits our sins. "Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins." is not saying baptism remits sins. It is saying repentance remits sins. Just as in Johns baptism ----the water of baptism was a sign of ritual cleansing---repentance. The difference is that the Christian baptism is a sign of the actual cleansing since it is Jesus who did that cleansing by taking our place on the cross in his death, paying the debt for sin that we owe and cannot pay.

Is he trying to spin in infant regeneration heresy, as seems to be going beyond just infant baptism
Possibly. Laying the groundwork.

No we are not physically buried it is spiritually. What I am saying is that when he said "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? " the baptism that we were baptized with was that of Acts 2:38 and it is in this baptism that God does the spiritual transforming work thus this is why one must be baptized with this baptism. If the baptism he refereed to isn't that of Acts 2:38 then what is it?

I have already said that faith means also be baptized in Christ name so yes it all connects. Faith is an action it has to be acted upon or it is not faith.

It is like the kingdom it is not physical but spiritual as like we are in the kingdom of heaven we are not physically in heaven but still been added to the kingdom it is a spiritual work of God not a physical.

This is really getting tiresome. You keep asking the same question every time it is answered. You don't agree with he answer so you keep asking it as though no answer but yours is valid. And you write in circles so as to what? camouflage what you are really saying?

So just forget Romans 6 and Acts 2:38 for a minute, since you aren't going to engage with my words and just keep asking the same question, and answer this question.

Do we have to have water baptism in order for our sins to be remitted? Put another way: Do we retain our sins until and unless we are water baptized?
