Alpha & Omega?

Thank you!!!!
Jesus just pointed out it is you heart(thoughts) that convict you: Not what you do!!!

Continuing on in the Sermon on the Mount
7: 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Look at those good works done in the name of Christ.
When the omniscient Judge of All says He doesn't know you: He is talking about a relationship.
Once again: Jesus points out that it is not what was done ; but it is a heart issue.
The question was not good works or i would have said read matt 25 not matt 5 Jesus changed the commandments and the Jews got it; they took up stones to kill Him’

Thks

Thks
Jesus did NOT change the Commandments: He correctly interpreted them

The first scripture were written about 1400 BC!!!!
Be fair. I should think you know he meant New Testament scriptures. Or is there something else you were thinking he meant?

Yes how?
The first scripture was not written for 30 plus years and the canon not approved by the apostolic authority till 381"

The Apostle AND Jesus taught the word of God from the OT:
PAul reasoned through Scripture
Jesus on the Road to Emmaus used the OT
At the Council of Jerusalem they appealed to the OT

YOU derailed this thread with your post #15: by making it about your Church's authority

YOU made a claim:
guess what?
  • Your claims will be examined, challenged, and questioned.
  • The assumptions that lead to your claims will be examined, challenged, and questioned.
  • The implications that come from your claims will be examined, challenged, and questioned.
  • The evidence you present for your claims will be examined, challenged, and questioned.

Mk 16:16
You can post your little chart that negates the word of If you like.

I’ll ask carbon about that rule

who is that to?

I asked before but you ignore!

Is it God-breathed that gives it authority?
Of course it is! Is there any higher than God? Is what he breathes (as given in the Scripture, for that is what it means to be God breathed)not the ultimate authority of truth? The Pope takes authority over interpreting Scripture and no one, has that authority. A Scripture means whatever God means when he gives it. Nothing more. Nothing less. So in taking the authority of interpretation to himself, the Pope places himself above God. It is quite arrogant.

Of course, and @donadams knows that. He misspoke. FWIW I take the cheap way out myself, but to be honest, it kind of ruins the conversation sometimes when people pick at things like this. At the least, it tends to go off subject, not to mention hurt feelings and blinding attitudes. It's a waste of time.

Question. Does the Holy Spirit use H20 to represent his Faithful unseen;. Powerful Spirit"

What does "water of the word" mean to a Catholic ?

Christ, said he washes us as His bride daily by it.
