Rev 1:8

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Who is the Alpha & Omega?

Thks

The Lord, the Almighty. What is your point in asking?

Thats what were learning about.

Is Jesus Christ the Alpha & Omega?

What is your statement of faith concerning the nature of God?

Thks

"...we're learning..."? We WHO? I don't accept teaching from someone who considers the church (and the RCC, at that) equal in authority with the word of God.

Make your point. I don't play this kind of game but so long. Don't ask me leading questions. If you have something to say, say it. Show the logical progression, but not one or two steps per post. I don't have that kind of patience.

It refers to Jesus Christ and His divinity!

The word of God does but not you?

Pride, presumption, and arrogance based on a private judgement of scripture making ME and only ME the sole arbiter of TRUTH!

I am the way, the truth, and the Life!

Not Jesus Christ!

These are not the virtues of Christ
Meek and humble of heart!
I come to do thy will!
Thy will be done in subjection and obedience!

Thats the life of a Christian!

Saul the fundamentalist tyrant full of pride thought he was doing the will of God and acting in righteousness until the blinding light of Christ appeared!

He was persecuting the church and Christ said why persecute me!

Christ and His church are one!
And the church is the eternal city of God, the light (truth) of the world, the pillar and foundation of TRUTH!

Thanks

WHY? All here agree to the divinity of Jesus Christ. Surely that isn't your point!

This is a true statement. When you define the church as the Catholic church alone as you do each and every time you use the word, it becomes blasphemy. From now on in your posts whenever you mean the Catholic church---which you always do, put "Catholic" in front of it. Otherwise it is deceptive and deception.

What planet was that from? Have read any of the threads on this particular forum? They deny explicitly that Christ is Divine!

They are many different doctrines about the nature of God floating around the trinity and divinity of Christ receiving the most attacks!

My point is that Jesus Christ is God Almighty! I hope you agree!

Not our M.O.

Faithful Christians are merk and humble and obedient and are taught!

Who is the teacher you may ask?

Jesus Christ!

Heb 1:1-3

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Apostles have the same mission power and authority as Christ! Jn 20:21

Christ and His church are one mystical unity by faith & baptism!

(Faith and baptism)

Ez 36:25-27
Mk 16:16
Jn 3:5 Jn 3:22
Acts 2:38-39
Acts 8:36-38
Acts 22:16

(Unity)

Isa 53:5
Matt 25:40
Jn 15:4-5
Acts 9:4
Eph 5:24
Eph 5:32
Phil 4:13

(((The church and the revealed truth are of divine origin and can no more be reformed than God Himself!)))

Christ and His church are one!
((Inseparable authority & unity))
Acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 eph 5:32 Isa 53:5 Jn 15:4-5 eph 5:24 Jn 20:21-23

Ok so In your understanding what is the church?

Christ's church is made up of all individuals who are united with him by grace and through faith. The doctrines of his church are laid out and complete in the NT by the Christ appointed apostles. Nothing added. Nothing taken away. No visible denomination or religious organization is in and of itself his church but only contains both those who are his people---the body of Christ and those who are not.

The church, the body of Christ, is made up of all those who have been redeemed by Jesus through the application of his substitutionary work to them by the Holy Spirit. They need nothing but genuine trust in the person and work of Jesus for salvation. Jesus is the one mediator between man and God. Salvation is apart from works but produces works, showing itself genuine. No visible denomination has the authority to add anything to what is given us in Scripture and claim it is of God. No denomination has ultimate authority of interpretation. No one is redeemed by any specific denomination or institution. It is for all who believe.

You are right. I had forgotten about those few. As far as I know, however, only one or two remain. Did you intend your OP to deal with those?

when discussing Biblical concepts :
why not use the the word as it was used in the Bible?

ekklesia
literally the "called-out ones"
called by Christ
out of the world
to Himself
aka believers

Can't wait until you figure out what the word baptize actually means.
and saint
and pray
and justify
and....etc
