As one person.Agreed, with two natures.
As one person.Agreed, with two natures.
OK, address my proofs that Christ is 100% divine nature. Explain how the divine could die, get weary, not be all knowing, change, grow in wisdom ...(I can give proof text if needed, though it's obvious Christ die while the divine nature cannot do so ... we humans can do lots of things the divine cannot do)I disagree. Christ is 100% divine.
Well that was my next question.Maybe... I gave my guesses. Aging is good in some ways....that's how Christ's human nature grew in wisdom and knowledge.
All this was after the fall.Right, Adam wouldn't have died; but he would have grown. God designed Man to grow...
I have a saying; "If you ain't growing, something's wrong"...
If Adam never Fell, and Shem never grew out of Infancy in a Perfect world; something would have been wrong...
So what's your idea Brother?
Well, you are assuming God's plan for a sinless and a sinful Adam is the same in this regard. Maybe if Adam didn't sin he never would have had kids for all we know or grown old. Granted, what God does in a non-existent Plan B is a HUGE LEAP.Right, Adam wouldn't have died; but he would have grown. God designed Man to grow...
I think the answer is hidden, hidden in the sense we humans have a mind set that we can figure things out if we set off to do so. And in doing so, we pass right by the simple answer.OK, address my proofs that Christ is 100% divine nature. Explain how the divine could die, get weary, not be all knowing, change, grow in wisdom ...(I can give proof text if needed, though it's obvious Christ die while the divine nature cannot do so ... we humans can do lots of things the divine cannot do)
Well there surely isn’t nor was a plan B. We agree I’m sure.Well, you are assuming God's plan for a sinless and a sinful Adam is the same in this regard. Maybe if Adam didn't sin he never would have had kids for all we know or grown old. Granted, what God does in a non-existent Plan B is a HUGE LEAP.
To answer these questions they came up with the hypostatic union which has support as God calls Christ both the SON OF GOD and son of man.If Jesus naturally aged then wouldn't that contradict immutability?
Hebrews 2:17.We all know that we die because of sin, we get sick because of sin, and we age because of sin.
Question?
Jesus was holy, pure and sinless.
So, why did he age?
It's not a big deal; until you learn why it's a big deal...Oh oh, why? For being dumb? *giggle*
No, not at all. The covenant of redemption, the Trinity was in agreement. All went as planed. God is immutable. To answer these questions they came up with the hypostatic union which has support as God calls Christ both the SON OF GOD and son of man.
It is obvious that in some respect Christ is mutable; after all He died.
Jesus willed not to know.Aside: Muslims like to point out the verse where Christ didn't know the timing of His 2nd coming and therefore could not be God because He was no all knowing....the hypostatic union addresses questions like this.
Again, Christ has two natures: divine and human. Christ has the characteristics of the divine and human. THe human nature can grow in wisdom, the divine cannot grow in wisdom. The divine nature cannot learn because He already knows every thing. How did Jesus grow in wisdom and knowledge? He is God after all.
Think about that answer.Hebrews 2:17.
Slimes?Think about that answer.
It slimes with what I gave as an answer
Me thinks you’re carrying that to far. Yes, it is thought provokingAgain, Christ has two natures: divine and human. Christ has the characteristics of the divine and human. THe human nature can grow in wisdom, the divine cannot grow in wisdom. The divine nature cannot learn because He already knows every thing.
Aside: Glad I took typing in high school to try to keep up.
Well, the MYSTERY response is there for any contradiction which your ideas are producing.I think the answer is hidden, hidden in the sense we humans have a mind set that we can figure things out
Perhaps .... not as if I came up with it myself. Here you go ... read this: https://www.gotquestions.org/hypostatic-union.htmlMe thinks you’re carrying that to far. Yes, it is thought provoking
Gee, not sure I like it when @ReverendRV gives me a LIKE when I suggest I'm dumb. If I was smarter I wouldn't have said it.Oh oh, why? For being dumb? *giggle*
I agree with this. Got any Scripture to go with that?Again, Christ has two natures: divine and human. Christ has the characteristics of the divine and human. THe human nature can grow in wisdom, the divine cannot grow in wisdom. The divine nature cannot learn because He already knows every thing.
Your many typos show you didn't do so well.Aside: Glad I took typing in high school to try to keep up.
