The Called !

The called are first saved !

The Call of the Gospel is not to lost souls, but to souls that have been saved, and because they have been saved or are being saved, that is why they are called 2 Tim 1:9

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Notice Paul wrote who Saved us, then and Called us with an Holy Calling ! The Gospel does not call lost and unholy sinners to Faith and fellowship in Christ !
I disagree with this only because scripture testifies otherwise.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Even the virgin Mary at the time she was pregnant with Jesus, needed the Saviour.

Luke 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

They were not saved yet until the gospel was given unto them whereby Jesus died, rose, and has ascended to Heaven for when believers can receive the promise of the permanent indwelling holy Ghost as sent from the Father.

This is why the Father has to draw men unto the Son to reveal His Son to them and by giving them the Holy Ghost at the hearing of the gospel is when faith came and they are saved. That means our believing in Jesus Christ is the work of the Father and so they were not already saved yet until they heard the gospel.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

That is how our faith came to us; our believing in Jesus Christ was when we heard the gospel and the promise of the Holy Spirit came on sinners that became believers. Truly by the grace of God we have been saved by faith in Jesus Christ.... and not before the gospel was heard.

The truth that we believe in Jesus Christ means we are saved !!!! No one should be seeking a sign that they are saved at all !!!

I believe in Jesus Christ ! Wow! Thank you Father in Jesus's name !!! I am saved !!!

This is self-assurance and not of Jesus.
Those who look to the law to obtain salvation is looking for self assurance and not looking to Jesus for that assurance.

John 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Now reconciled to God through Jesus Christ and therefore saved, I can also look to Jesus Christ as my Good Shepherd & Friend to help me abide in Him & His words in following Him as His disciple so that I may bear fruit and that my joy may be full.

Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

You are the ones who are claiming self-assurance.

I don't claim to be saved.

Jesus is the Lord of Salvation, not any of us.

It is audacity for you to claim self-assurance.

Why don't you claim to be saved? Think about it. Why is Jesus Christ the Good News to you or for anyone else for that matter?

When can any of His disciples preach Jesus Christ & Him crucified if they are not saved yet to claim Jesus as their Saviour when they have to keep His commandments still in order to be saved?

It is no different than Judaism or any other religion where the emphasis is on man to save himself whereby he gets the glory, not God.

If a sinner came up to you & had asked you the hope you have in you, what will be your answer?

Will this be your answer? "I don't know yet because I still have to keep His commandments in order to be saved. Ask me again after I die."

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Because no one is judge of anyone's salvation except Jesus Christ.
Then how can you share the Good News in Christ that Jesus Christ IS the Saviour if you are not saved yet?

I am spreading Jesus' word.

I am His servant and that's what Jesus commanded us to do.

You are dismissing Peter's word of judgment for God's household:

1 Peter 4:17
For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

1 Peter 4:17

And how do you obey the gospel of God? You either believe Him for eternal life or you don't.

And how do you obey the gospel of God? You either believe Him for eternal life or you don't.
How many times do I have to tell you that Jesus is my Lord and I believe everything he says?

You are the ones who don't listen to what He says.

Now you don't listen to Peter either?

Your faith is so consistent in unbelief, friend.

And how do you obey the gospel of God? You either believe Him for eternal life or you don't.
I am Jesus' servant and Jesus commanded His followers to "make disciples of all nations....teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Do you really believe everything He says when you claim you are not saved yet for why you still have to keep His commandments?

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

That is how you are saved by simply believing in Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead. Paul confirms that this is the gospel.

This is why discipleship is separate from salvation because you need to be saved first with Jesus Christ in you so you can follow Him by faith.

That is how Jesus Christ will judge saved believers by on whether they are His disciples abiding in Him or not at the pre great tribulation rapture. See post # 5 at the link to that thread below.

Why do you keep avoiding all relevant verses and switch to something else.?

I have been answering your questions and you dont have anything to say about it over and over.

I am Jesus' servant and Jesus commanded His followers to "make disciples of all nations....teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
Here is how you are to follow Him.

John 6:28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Believe in Him that you are saved since the moment you had believed in the Lord Jesus Christ & that God has raised Him from the dead.

Believe in Jesus Christ to be your Good Shepherd & Friend to help you to abide in His words in following Him as His disciple. Trust Him to do this.

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.... 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Why do you keep avoiding all relevant verses and switch to something else.?
Because you claim you are not saved yet; therefore you are overlooking the Good News in Christ for how you are to follow Him with joy.

Another false witntessing. It is a sin to do that, friend.

I said it is Jesus who judges who is saved or not.

Another false witntessing. It is a sin to do that, friend.

I said it is Jesus who judges who is saved or not.
If you do not believe you are saved yet for why you are keeping His commandments, then how can you tell others that Jesus Christ is the Saviour? When can you ever tell others that Jesus Christ is the Saviour?

It is Jesus who judges the believers of what each had built on that foundation laid by Jesus Christ and that is why judgment will come on the House of God first because if anyone defiled that temple of God, He will destroy with physical death but the spirit is still saved in that day.

1 Corinthians 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

You are saved for believing in Jesus Christ in according to His words in John 3:16-18 but it is what you do with that reconciled relationship with God that will be judged; by resorting to your own power in keeping the law or by living by faith in Jesus Christ, trusting Him personally as your Good Shepherd & Friend to help you abide in His words to bear fruit in following Him daily?

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.... 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If you do not believe you are saved yet for why you are keeping His commandments, then how can you tell others that Jesus Christ is the Saviour? When can you ever tell others that Jesus Christ is the Saviour?
I spread what Jesus says.

I tell you again it is Jesus who judges who is saved or not.

Please do not twist my word.

Your panicky behavior is showing, friend.
