Some good reasons to reject Arminianism

It is a fact that your understanding of the atonement is in error. And therefore, you deny Christ’s atonement.
I give scriptures yet no one denies them and no one is saying they mean differently than what I have said or they would explain what they really mean.

Repent!

Why debate universalism? Christian’s know scripture destroys that un-Christian system. And anyone can say a few words and throw some scripture around. Those scriptures don’t help you.

Poor guy. He’s been lied to. I hope God opens his eyes to the truth.
Yes, that is how I feel towards Arminianist and Calvinist. They have been lied to and are deceived. I hope God opens their spiritual ears (if they have spiritual ears) to the truth!

Do not take comfort in others that believe in the same way that you do which is not how we discern the truth. Listen to the power of one and that is the Spirit of Christ.

You deny Jesus when you say he can not save someone. That is all that there is to it. Jesus will save all that is his purpose for humanity so if you teach other wise you deny him and are not a true believer!
There's a reason why another, well-known forum banned Universalism. Its adherents can be very nasty indeed.

Yes, there is such a thing as spiritual warfare and the flesh and Spirit do not get along.

How many martyrs that the Roman Catholic Church had made and they needed to repent and did not!

However, asking those who deny Jesus atonement in quality and scope to repent is not nasty but loving. God care for your souls who deny Jesus atonement in quality and scope.

Yes, repent! :)

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mark 16.

Both Arminians and Calvinists go out and proclaim the gospel.
However,

Arminians believe they have to, with help from God, convince the lost sinner to believe. They have to continue counseling in the gospel in hopes people will make a decision to believe. And if one does, and proves it by coming forth, they get to record the persons name and the date they got saved in their bibles. I even heard some say, “ I got three people saved today!”
Yes, I suppose they got a reason to boast.

The Calvinist has his confidence in God, knowing God will save those who are His. A Calvinist will share the gospel and continue to follow up as well. You won’t hear a Calvinist say, “I got three people saved today!” Because it’s not man, it’s the gospel that is the power unto salvation. We also don’t have them come forth for proof. The proof is they will hunger and thirst for Christ.

I suppose both Arminians and Calvinists are fishers of men.
One casts his net and woos the fish to swim into it. Saying come on, you can do it, give it a try.
The other casts his net knowing many kinds of fish will be dragged in.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
But in the final analysis, being Born again (saved) will always be the result of the person, being convicted of their SIN by the Holy Spirit, surrendering, repenting, and calling on God in faith for salvation. "Calvinism", "Arminianism", or any other "Ism" are totally unimportant. They're just "Complications" that the "visible church" thinks they have to convince their follows about.

That is a generalization there of Arminians. I am not a Calvinist but have great confidence in God who saves. I cannot save myself, so how can I save others. I am to disciple others for that is what the Lord has told us to do. (Matt. 28: 19 & 20)

Many people are being robbed of this great venture with the Lord, (discipling) because they think the religious system will do it, ie. getting bottoms on seats.

Being born again is not the same as being saved, although it is used as a synecdoche for it. Being born again has to happen first, in order for someone to "see" and enter the kingdom of God (as Jesus himself told Nicodemus); and, we know that this is through faith in Jesus Christ.

Yes...we must be Born Again ,we are saved from eternal damnation...at the same time that we were birthed in the Spirit.

We receive faith when God birthed us in the Spirit.

Being born again is the same as being birthed in the Spirit (I'm unsure if you meant this, which is why I mention it).

Yes, we receive faith in Jesus Christ, when God makes us born again.

Sorry David..I can see the confusion...I must concentrate on my wording when I post...I needed to hear this, so..thank you!..👍

Overall, I find that Arminianism is just false teaching (Charles Finney), or immature believers who need to grow in their understanding of God. You have to go to college to gain knowledge, you aren't born with it. You have to grow in scripture, and in the Spirit, to understand all that God has given us in His word.
Amen to that! What I often encounter is people telling me that I have only head knowledge or theology this or that is not Biblical. But reading and studying God's word is theology, and we are to grow in the knowledge of the Lord to share it and be able to defend it against false teachers and so that we are deceived.

C.G. Finney was much more extreme than Arminianism. He was one of the most legalistic, works-oriented teachers I've ever come across.

Amen!!...100% agree..I don’t agree that you only have head knowledge..you are our Brother in Christ.👍

A Born Again!..Praise God!

Yet without the Spirit we can do nothing! :)
