I lean towards Calvary (Incarnation) but many lean towards eternity (predestination).
Are you dogmatic or leaning one way or another? Which 'n why?

Oh, sorry, thought it was a funny. Care to elaborate?
Just like we are saved at God's appointed time when we believe the gospel, and we are saved at glorification. I believe there is an ordo salutis. Get what I am saying?

@prism in Greek you will find, when speaking of Christ's crucifixion and someone believing today in 2003. It's both different times and the same time.

Saved in Eternity or at Calvary?

I say ETERNITY. My argument is based on cause and effect. I'd say God chooses to save the elect first (suprlapsarian) and this choice is the cause of the events God choose to cause to best perform His purpose. So, being saved in Eternity is the First Cause and though the Second Cause (Calvary) is necessary, it importance is secondary.

That being said, I'm splitting hairs and the question uses the word "or" and not "and/or".

Hmmmm... could the question be posed as: Saved in Eternity, by Pilate decision or at Calvary. God choose to use Pilate and Calvary to implement His plan to save the elect so why not include Pilate as part of the reason we are saved?

*end of mental meanderings ... giggle ... don't take my thoughts too seriously on this one*

Hi prism,

I see it as a process -

Salvation is the door,
Holiness is the way,
Pentecost is the power,
Eternal Purpose is the goal.

Interesting, Eternal purpose and predestination is the goal, or am I putting words on your screen?

Salvation is the door (to eternal life).
Holiness is the way of life of the saved.
The Holy Spirit is the effecting power.
The glory of God is the goal.

Saved in Eternity or at Calvary?

PERSONALLY, I was "saved" (born again) in '63, when in faith under conviction of SIN and of judgement, I repented and called upon God for salvation. Then the Holy Spirit indwelled, and everything changed.

Predestined in eternity,

Actuality at rebirth.

Which will it be? Or are you saying you were reborn in eternity?
Predestined in eternity to be reborn (and, therefore, in time it shall be so).

Reborn after I physically exist in time.
