I have been here for a while and haven't introduced myself.
I was raised atheist and I was content with that.
However, I was curious about God. I chose to read the Bible. I then read other books about religion, Augustine first on a recommendation, the Aquinas, Calvin and Merton. I was fascinated by the Faith and agreed with every word. And as I came to believe the Bible as the Word of God and to have faith in Christ I became a Christian. The Nicene Creed is an absolute in my faith.
However, I didn't study or talk with other Christians. And I wondered if what I believed about what I read was "traditional" and if so, what tradition or denomination.
So I found the forums and I am here to learn. Here to learn what other people believe, here to learn more about the Bible.
I never had to talk about my faith. I never had to put it into words. Some words are very new to me, such as Dispensationalism and Soteriology. Not a clue what those terms mean. Interesting to talk about my beliefs and read what others believe.
