I have been here for a while and haven't introduced myself.

I was raised atheist and I was content with that.
However, I was curious about God. I chose to read the Bible. I then read other books about religion, Augustine first on a recommendation, the Aquinas, Calvin and Merton. I was fascinated by the Faith and agreed with every word. And as I came to believe the Bible as the Word of God and to have faith in Christ I became a Christian. The Nicene Creed is an absolute in my faith.

However, I didn't study or talk with other Christians. And I wondered if what I believed about what I read was "traditional" and if so, what tradition or denomination.
So I found the forums and I am here to learn. Here to learn what other people believe, here to learn more about the Bible.

I never had to talk about my faith. I never had to put it into words. Some words are very new to me, such as Dispensationalism and Soteriology. Not a clue what those terms mean. Interesting to talk about my beliefs and read what others believe.

Hi, @QVQ , and welcome! :)

Welcome aboard, Bro!!

I hope you’re a bro, if not…

…welcome aboard, Sis!!
Thank you for that.
I am an extremely private person who has been silent in the congregation.
However, I enjoy this fellowship with other Christians
That should answer your question.

I am also very, very cautious of giving out any personal information on the internet. Anyone can claim to be anything and there isn't any way to verify any information a person provides but there a million and one ways to use information. For instances, ads are targeted, which is harmless maybe but...then again. A woman may enjoy camping, sports and a man might like to cook. Doesn't mean a thing in real life.
A woman is a woman, born and a man is a man, born. Nothing can change the biological fact.
And everyone knows there are crooked ways to use information on the internet.

I’m not prying to find out if you are male or female, just don’t want to say Bro an you’re a Sis, or vice versa. I just don’t want to offend you.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

And I thank you very much for that. I should probably make that clear to everyone so people are not led unawares into error. but then... However, I am glad you asked.
