??? What he taught was that the 70 nations that were divided by Bab-El were reached by the apostles. Sounds like success to me! Paul said twice that the world had been reached, which is partly what confirmed that the end of the world was expected right after the Destruction of Jerusalem.

When the mindset of the student is based on self-determination (vs God determining all things) "freewill" uncaused and God's repeated inability to complete what he set out to do (due to evil's activities) are implied. God becomes like us, subject to the vagaries of mere unfortunate chance.

I bring this up, because the student who assumes such things is going to color EVERY thing he reads in scripture with this crayon. Heiser thinks this way, as do you, according to your statement that you don't have any reason to cancel what Heiser says.

God did not form evil and bring it into existence. Evil sprang from the Hearts of His offspring. (Angels and mankind with the fallen Angels leading the whole world astray.)

God created living beings, (Angels and mankind), who brought evil out of their hearts not God's. So evil was introduced through Gods offspring. I'm not sure created as in something formed is the correct context. And since sin came from hearts other than Gods only an indirect reference can be inferred not a direct reference. NO sin came directly from God nor does He tempt others to sin. People are tempted by their own evil desires. Gods' judgment for disobedience is a righteous judgment not sin.
He brings peace and He brings calamity. Curses and blessings.

Evil tends to be described in "thoughts" or "actions" ... so what is the correct unit of measure if it it a THING that God created.

Israel was God's chosen and God had made a covenant and given promises to Abraham through Jacob, God allowed what happen to Joseph for Israel's good. However, God watched over Joseph in Egypt and no harm came to him.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. We overcome that weakness by the Spirit in us.

I dont understand that. My point is God is the the first and primary cause of everything that exist, if you dont agree, fine with me.
