Yup Study based on the BIBLICAL RECORD as the written source, Illuminated by the Holy Spirit is required to supply understanding (John 16:13).

Study, based on this or that centuries old, or contemporary "Theologian's opinions", can, and often does, only lead down meaningless rabbit holes.

And then there's 1 John 2:27.

I listen to / read many theologians, and reach MY OWN conclusions, as a Non-Systematic Eclectic.
