What Would You Ask Jesus? New AI Jesus App Knows the Gospel Well, but Critics Are Alarmed

If you could text Jesus a question, knowing He would immediately reply, what would you ask? What would you ask Jonah about his time in the belly of the giant fish? What would you ask King Solomon? Would you ask Daniel about his time in the lion's den?

Now with the help of an AI-enhanced app, you can text Jesus and other biblical characters and receive an immediate response.

Text with Jesus is a new app launched last month by Cat Loaf software, an app development company in Los Angeles. The app replicates an instant messaging platform, with biblical figures impersonated by the artificial intelligence program ChatGPT, according to the Religion News Service (RNS).

You can also text questions to other biblical characters too, including the Holy Family, the apostles, the prophets, Ruth, Job, Daniel, Jonah, and Abraham's nephew, Lot.

"We stir the AI and tell it: You are Jesus, or you are Moses, or whoever, and knowing what you already have in your database, you respond to the questions based on their characters," Stéphane Peter, the app's developer, and the company's CEO told RNS.

This is not the place I would go to.

App Brings Amusement, Pushback on Social Media

The launch of the app stirred up laughter as well as pushback on social media with some calling it blasphemy and heresy.

"That's a hard NO for me," tweeted one user.

Another user wrote, "This is deception. Pure and simple."

"Um… I just… No," a user responded.

Peter shrugged off the criticism, telling RNS the app is "another way to explore Scripture."

Personally, I would stay away from this app.

The so-called "global elite" want to replace all religion (especially Christianity) with an AI generated one world religion. This looks like a step in that direction.

I agree it is a dangerous app for many reasons, not the least of which is it will give answers that are outside the Bible, not given by the Bible, not actually given by the people that are being asked the questions, but are being treated as truth. Another thing that is really bad about it is that perhaps millions of people will substitute it for doing the actual work of learning the scriptures, studying them, seeking God etc. We already have enough of that. Much of mainstream Christianity that has already lost its doctrinal base, will lose even more. There is no room for learning or critical thinking.

In short, it is nothing but entertainment and nothing in it will reach a single heart, for nothing of truth enters the mind. It was probably AI that found the answers to put into the AI in the app program.

My two cents.

I think the chat ap will get a lot right...as what the bible teaches is pretty much easy to understand...BUT....many errors will creep in.

It would be interesting to her what it has to say on the divinity of Jesus, trinity, predestination, OSAS and other points of theology when it has to go deeper than the surface.

Which will be a totally artificial, and meaningless "theological construct" of no Spiritual significance whatsoever.

OF course, WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD. so the "global elite" isn't the problem at all. They're jus ignorant "Pawns" in satan's program - "useful idiots", so called.

The "god of this world" (satan) is the source of it all, and the Bible lets us know that he's going to make things increasingly difficult for humans as we move toward the end of the age. AI will probably be one of his "tools". KNOWING what the Bible SAYS (by the act of READING IT) will be a first line of defence. Biblical IGNORANCE makes a person "Fair Game" for deception.

Human pawns (and they're not always ignorant) are not the ultimate problem (I agree that Satan is); nevertheless, they are means to Satan's nefarious ends and evil means need to be opposed (oppose deception with the truth; oppose false religion with the gospel; oppose hatred with love, oppose evil with righteousness, etc.).

Yes, biblical knowledge is very important, along with prayer, wisdom, love, faith, holiness, etc..

I would test it out by asking for a lottery ticket number. ;)

Question would be more interesting if it was: "You get one question of the real Jesus. What's your question?

Mine would be ... "What is your answer to the best question I could ask You?"

The principle of what the antichrist is as applied in the scripture means is, "instead of Christ".

So ask the real Jesus in prayer and not that app.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man ( nor that app* ) teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
