What does "Deity of Christ" mean?

In John 20:17 Jesus said the God of his brothers (Thomas for example) is the Father.

In John 20:28 when Thomas said "my God" he didn't contradict Jesus. He said the Father is his God.

Check. Mate.

"My God" is in reference to Jesus in John 20:28.

Check your Bible.

You ought to know it was rhetorical.

I don't need your answer, I know what you have which is disgraceful.

You dodged what I posted in the link.

How not surprising.

Run along...

You have been dodging that you guys are disgracing Jesus' word and teachings.

Context. John 20:17 Jesus said the God and Father of his brothers (the disciples) is the Father. When Thomas said, "my God" he was not referring to Jesus as God. That not only would contradict Jesus, it wouldn't fit with the context. There is no one in the Bible who believed Jesus is God.

Do you claim Jesus was wrong to claim His Father is His God???????????????
Jesus said the God of his brothers is the Father. Seems like even if Thomas somehow believed that Jesus was actually God then not only was Thomas on an island alone in this regard but also Jesus' words trump Thomas'.

I don't believe he believes Jesus is God.

He was addressing both God and Jesus individually.

Trins don't seem to know how to read.

Their doctrines are so juvenile, to say the least.

Only people who are not interested in the Truth will accept their heretical faith.

According to you, but not the Bible.

An assertion without proof.

See my previous comment.
This is according to explicitly what John 20:17 and John 20:28 say. Thomas' God is the Father. Deal with it.

Just as Thomas referred to Jesus as "my Lord," so too does he refer to Jesus as "my God."

In John 20:28 theos "certainly refers to Christ" (BDAG, 3rd Edition, theos, page 450).

Deal with it.

John 20:17, Jesus said his and his brothers (the disciples) God is the Father. When Thomas said "my God" in John 20:28 then the context is about the Father being Thomas' God. That isn't Jesus. Scripture wins. You lose.
