Lev 17:4And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
Lev 17:5To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD.
Lev 17:6And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD. And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
Lev 1:4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Exo 30:10And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.
The OT pattern of atonement made for the heavenly to come, is shedding and sprinkling of the blood. The atonement is not made by killing the sacrfice alone, but only by taking of the blood and sprinkling upon the altar and people.
The Lamb of God's natural blood was shed on a cross on earth, but not sprinkled at the cross.
1Pe 1:2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
It's the eternal blood of Jesus Christ the risen Lamb of God, that is sprinkled upon the souls to make atonement for past sins.
Jhn 6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Jhn 6:63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
It's the blood of Jesus Christ's quickening Spirit by resurrection from the dead, that is sprinkled and drank by the faithful obedient, and sanctifies the soul from lust and sin in holiness unto the Lord.
For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
The blood of of bulls and goats could only be sprinkled upon the flesh, but the blood of Jesus Christ risen from the dead, can be sprinkled upon the conscience to purge all knowledge of lust and sin.
Mat 26:28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

The natural blood of all men, and that of the man Jesus shed into the earth at the cross, cannot possibly make atonement for any man sins: Natural blood cannot be sprinkled on the soul, and it's unlawful to eat.
