2Ch 35:6So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

Exo 12:12For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Eating the passover lamb of the Lord, is to sanctify oneself to the Lord, that we not be smitten with the children of disobedience.

Exo 12:10And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.

Exo 12:46In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

Exo 34:25Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

Num 9:12They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

Num 9:13But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

Being sanctified in the Lord's passover, is to eat all of it quickly in the selfsame day, and leave no meat of sanctification leftover to come only by and by: Neither the Lord's passover nor sanctification is gradual in coming and always incomplete.

Jhn 6:51I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
The passover Lamb Jesus Christ is eaten now today, whole and complete, to be sanctified unto Him.

In the same likeness, keeping the Lord's Sabbath, was to be sanctified from any of our own works.

Heb 4:10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
We wholly sanctify ourselves unto the Lord today, that we may enter into His rest from our own works.

Exo 12:9Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

Our sanctification from dead works is completely burnt and eaten whole at once. God does not accept any sodden meat of repentance, left to soak and only gradually be eaten in our own good time.

No.

The killing does not sanctify. 2 Ch. 35:6 is saying to perform the ritual killing of the animal and then also perform the prescribed cleansing rituals so that a person is able to partake of the ceremony. The verse does NOT say the killing is sanctifying. As far as the eating of the lamb goes.....

Mark 7:14-15
After he called the crowd to him again, He began saying to them, "Listen to me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside the man which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man.

And neither the killing nor the eating rid a person of their sin, or cleaned them up, for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. The same holds true for lambs killed year after year after year. The Old Testament Passover foreshadowed Christ, the one sacrifice sin God Himself made for those He sanctifies.

Hebrews 10:12-14
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

It's all right there in whole scripture.

Our sanctification from dead works is completely burnt and eaten whole at once. God does not accept any sodden meat of repentance, left to soak and only gradually be eaten in our own good time.
Yes. Sorta.

The sanctifying sacrifice is complete, but the process of sanctification is not completed until we've reached the other side of our own resurrection. We've been washed clean, but only through the transformative work of resurrection will be incorruptible. It does us only limited good to be cleansed but still able to sin again. The tools of maintenance (confession, repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, etc.) will be unnecessary on the other side of the grave. On this side of the grave, they are the normal, healthy, godly constituents of life in Christ and should never be confused or conflated with relativism or liberal humanism.

The killing does not sanctify.
This isn't about killing the passover lamb, but about how to eat it to be sanctified by the blood of the Lamb. Wholly complete and in haste.

I don't keep the OT Passover.

The sanctifying sacrifice is complete
The killing is.

, but the process of sanctification

Is whole, completely and in haste in the selfsame day.
is not completed until we've reached the other side of our own resurrection.
No one is granted repentance in the grave, to be sanctified wholly complete.

It does us only limited good to be cleansed but still able to sin again.
True. Lukewarm repentance may be good for better homes and garden religion in this life, but it's rejected as unrepentance by the Lamb of God.

He completely died on the cross in this life, He commands complete death of the old man on our own cross, to recive His mercy and be accepted of Him.

The tools of maintenance (confession, repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, etc.)
The tools of maintaining double hearted religion can be used to maintain a better homes and garden household, but without whole hearted repentance to completely eat the Passover Lamb of God, it's not the pure religion of Jesus Christ unto resurrection from the dead unto life.

On this side of the grave, they are the normal, healthy, godly constituents of life in Christ and should never be confused or conflated with relativism or liberal humanism.
Unless their repentance is to only sin relatively less than before. Especially if judgment is used among themselves, to determine if they are sinning less enough relative to the judges of such things.

The passover Lamb that sanctifies the soul from sinning, must be eaten whole and at once, without any urepented leftovers.

Num 9:13But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

This isn't about killing the passover lamb, but about how to eat it to be sanctified by the blood of the Lamb. Wholly complete and in haste.
That is still not what sanctifies a person.
I don't keep the OT Passover.
Immaterial. The claim was made the Passover sanctified and that is NOT what the scriptures teach, or the verse cited states. That post needs to be changed so that it correctly communicates what scripture teaches.

The killing is.
The author of Hebrews says otherwise. Hebrews 9:28 plainly states Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and later the author states we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (Heb. 10:10). It's the blood of the Lamb that sanctifies, not the blood of a lamb.

That is still not what sanctifies a person.
The passover lamb killed, but not wholly eaten, does not sanctify the killer that eats not, and His sinning is condemned.

All men that sin are guilty of killing the passover Lamb of God on a cross, and only them wholly repent to eat His flesh whole, are forgiven and sanctified wholly in Him.

Immaterial. The claim was made the Passover sanctified and that is NOT what the scriptures teach, or the verse cited states.
The passover lamb sanctified the eaters from the children of Egypt killed without eating.

The passover Lamb of God the eaters from the children of disobedience that repent not and eat not.

The Egyptians killed the children of Israel, from whom the obedient eaters sanctified themselves, and the world killed the God of Israel, from whom the obedient eaters sanctify themselves.

Any sinner can now repent of sins against the Lamb of God, and freely eat whole the resurrected Lamb, and be sanctified from sin and condemnation of the world.

If by disobedience His flesh is not completely eaten in haste, then the condemnation of disobedience remains upon the lukewarm repenter and gradual eater.

The passover lamb is not eaten for sins, but for sanctificaiton from the sins and condemnation of the world. To wholly eat the flesh of our passover Lamb Jesus Christ, we are commanded to repent from our old sins that killed Him on the cross, and any present sins that crucify Him to ourselves today.

Jhn 6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

The passover Lamb of God must be eaten all at once, in the selfsame day of repentance from all dead works. The old man that sinned against Him must be crucified unto death on our own cross, that we may eat whole the risen Lamb of God.

All men that sin killed the passover Lamb of God on a cross, but only them that wholly repent at once, may eat His flesh whole in haste.

Jhn 6:54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jhn 6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

The passover Lamb is eaten to have His life, and is only eaten by sanctified and circumcised children of the Lord.

2Ch 30:15Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD.

2Ch 35:6So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

Exo 12:48And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

All men that sin killed the passover Lamb of God on the cross. Only them that repent of sinning against Him, are circumcised and sanctified from sin, to obediently eat of Him whole,

Exo 12:27That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

A
nd be delivered from the condemnation and death of the children of disobedience.

Num 9:6And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

No uncircumcised and unsanctified unrepented old man of sin, may eat of the Lord's passover Lamb and have life.

Num 9:13But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

Them that are cleanly sanctified and circumcised by Christ, that eat not by obeying Him not, are cut off from His people of obedience. They bear their trespass with the children of disobedience, that eat not the passover Lamb of God.

Eating the passover Lamb of God, is by obeying Him and keeping His commandments by His faith, which is only by repenting of disobedience to Him.

Rev 14:12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The good obedient eaters are innocent of His blood on the cross. The bad and disobedient are guilty of crucifying His innocent shed blood on the cross.

The author of Hebrews says otherwise. Hebrews 9:28 plainly states Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many,
The passover Lamb of God is only killed by sinners on a cross once. All sinners still crucifying Him afresh to themselves, are still guilty of His innocent blood shed on that cross.

and later the author states we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (Heb. 10:10).
Which confirms sanctification of the passover Lamb. Thank you.

It's the blood of the Lamb that sanctifies
Confirming sanctification by drinking the blood of our passover Lamb.

Jhn 6:53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Jhn 6:52The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

Jhn 6:66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

The carnal minded disciples mistake His natural flesh and blood with that of His resurrected body, and forsook Him.

Even as His natural flesh and blood is not eaten and drunk at the cross, so no man is sanctified to have His life by killing the passover Lamb, but only by repenting to obediently eat our passover wholly complete in haste.

The carnal man of sin likewise believes Jesus speaks of His body hanging on a tree, and His blood shed on the cross sanctifies to the saving of the soul by His death alone. (They call it trusting in the 'finished work of Christ on the cross', which condemns all sinners, and saves none that killed Him)

No man that sins is sanctified at the cross, but all are guilty of unjustly killing the passover Lamb of God contrary to the law:

Deu 19:9That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

Deu 19:12Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die. Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

All the world is guilty of shedding the innocent blood of the Lamb of God, and all that sin upon the earth, the Jew first and also the Gentile.

Only them that repent for His sake, have mercy to eat of His flesh and drink of His blood by resurrection from the dead.

The passover lamb killed, but not wholly eaten, does not sanctify the killer that eats not, and His sinning is condemned.
No one is sanctified by eating it in its entirety, either. As I stated previously, the sanctification mentioned in the verse(s) you cited earlier have nothing to do with the eating of the sacrifice, but the cleansing rituals accompanying the Passover ritual. There is a reason for the day of preparation and you have not addressed any of it. So far the entire thread has been a huge dodge avoiding the one, singular, salient point made in the beginning of this conversation.

And I have had enough of it. My points been made. My points been avoided. Repeatedly. Ten posts is enough. I'm unwatching the thread and moving on.
