Lev 11:44 For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, because I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth. 45 For I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt, to be your God; so you shall be holy, because I am holy.’”
I also think, when God said, be holy for I am holy- we (believers) will be holy. If we have a part in our sanctification, then there will be some holes of imperfection in it. IMO

I think this group of verses when taken together and of course digging into the context, paints a picture for us.
Some might see contradiction, but I don't.

Rom. 6:19 (NAS20S) I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.

Rom. 6:22 (NAS20S) But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you derive your benefit, resulting in sanctification, and the outcome, eternal life.

1Cor. 1:30 (NAS20S) But it is due to Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

1Th. 4:3 (NAS20S) For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

I would be negligent, if I didn't include these.
LOL
1Th. 4:7 (NAS20S) For God has not called us for impurity, but in sanctification.

2Th. 2:13 (NAS20S) But we should always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

We will be at the resurrection.
I love this. It is the complete fruition of Christ's work--well at least as far as we being able to withstand His Presence.
