Just WHO is God?

It's a common description.
Buuuut, mine is based on JESUS' teaching, yours in Church Dogma.
How would you know what mine is based on. Have you been inside my mind? I base my beliefs of the entirety of the Bible, making sure as nearly as possible, that there are none that contradict any of the others, and most important, that none are a misrepresentation of God.

To say the Savior who through his death purchased with his blood millions of people over thousands of years and who knows, how many more, was a creature made out of dust; well that is a blasphemous accusation against God who says of his Son:

Col 1:16 For in him (Jesus) all things were created: Things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

Heb 1:1-In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets;
2- but in these last days He has spoken to us by a Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

God putting on flesh, placing Himself under His own law to redeem and reconcile a bunch of depraved sinners to Himself is hardly what I would call a creature. Is God placing Himself in the womb of your mother how you were born?

It's not the story of my conception! Nor that of my children either.

It seems you mind is closed- as the rest!

Did you really think it was going to be open on this particular topic?

My background is non-triinitarian. I was saved, now I know who God is. He is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I had to get past an awful lot to get to this point. I know the arguments, because once they were my own.

I expected something DIFFERENT from you. My bad.

What?
Heb 1:1-In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets;
2- but in these last days He has spoken to us by a Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
Why do you think that through whom he also created the world, changes the meaning in some to be denying the Son's deity? Please
explain as you keep doing it and I am baffled. It expresses exactly what John said in John 1:1-18.

Think God became a man? The TRINTY?????
Think God SENT Himself - THEIRSELVES- told Theirself what to preach, prayed to Themself, died on the Cross?????????>?

What?

Do you think your Gods created all things TROUGH/IN Themselves?

I expected something DIFFERENT from you. My bad.

I am a newer Christian, but the "who's God is really a God" arguments were first, and they lasted for some time.

"was a creature made out of dust"- John 1:14- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us
If Jesus is just a man and not God, then he is a creature. A creature is something that is created. All men who are only men are born in Adam---of the dust.

The Word was with God and the Word was God---

I'm always open to a discussion of the Bible- not an argument!
Will a person only believe Church Dogma, or the Bible?
The bible says the Word was God and with God------> became flesh. God in a bod.

Then he, too, needs to heed Christ's words-

My wording was correct because I was not worshipping the same God.

It was my "god" against God, with my husband doing the talking. I married my husband and God when I lost.

And yes, now I know is actually God. But for a minute it was a fight between two. Now I know who God is.

Do you understand the kenosis?

If it isn't in the Bible, I could care less...
Yes, it's in the bible....If you didn't know that why should I then believe/trust anything you post?

{edit}

Let me ask you again....did Jesus empty himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men?

Was Jesus a real servant or a make believe servant? Simple question.

In theology, kenosis is the "self-emptying" of Jesus. The word ἐκένωσεν is used in the Epistle to the Philippians: "[Jesus] made himself nothing", or "[he] emptied himself", using the verb form κενόω, meaning "to empty". The exact meaning varies among theologians. The less controversial meaning is that Jesus emptied his own desires, becoming entirely receptive to God's divine will, obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross.

A fancy way to state the obvious: unless you are saying God did this!
Was Jesus in the form of a servant...born in the likeness of men?
