Fruit Of The Spirit

If we have been birthed in the Spirit, then we should bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.....shouldn’t we?

I believe it takes time for fruit to grow and mature....after all it’s the Holy Spirit who indwells us is the fruit bearer..

My question is why after many years ,of walking in the Spirit, I don’t see the fruit of the Spirit in many so called Christians?

I’m not judging anyone , I’m just trying to understand ....why this is?

Doesn’t God’s word say, you will know them by their fruit.

Admin, I wasn’t sure where to post this topic, apologies if it’s in the wrong section..
If I may. I'll let Christ field this one:

15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. Jn 15:1-11.

Reasons why Christians do not show fruit.
1. Unrepented sin.
2. Misunderstanding Scripture.
3. Failure to read and study Scripture.
4. Failure in the leadership to disciple.
5. Hardened heart/life.
6. Disobedience.
7. In a corrupt church, or a church not planted by God.

This list is not exhaustive.

This online summary certainly spoke to me.

The pleasures of this life

These carnal pleasures are, no doubt, thorns that will choke a Christian from bearing fruit and even ruin his relationship with God.

But.....if one is a true child of God....no matter the timing.....they will bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit....remember that fight that goes on within us, that starts as soon as we become Born Again.

A Child of God will be made into the image of Jesus....it’s all the work of the Holy Spirit, bringing us to places of understanding and maturing us....then there is the renewing of our minds.etc,etc.

Pride and Arrogance is another barrier to bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit....that was one of my biggest barriers...but again....I worry not, God is in control of my life....he gets his way ..he is an AMAZING God.....can’t you just see him at work in your life every day...,..just my thoughts....muddled no doubt for some that read them...LOL...Ha!

Praise God that you are his child.....💗🙏
If a true born child of God ever strays from the truth and loses his or her way the Lord in His time will bring that sheep back into the fold.
In HIS time.
He MUST and He WILL.
The Name of God is on the line, and He is NOT an absentee Father.
He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.
What He started He will complete at the Day of Christ (and this doesn't mean second coming alone. When God picks up a righteous man that falls seven or more times, He will carry him like a found sheep and maybe also like a Prodigal Son who returns.
The true born child of God ALWAYS returns.

Believe me the mere fact your affected like that means the world to me. If there is no life in our words if it isn't from the spirit it's just a waste of breath and when one understands the kingdom or at least takes the first step into that realm they will know see and recieve all the things I have spoken and more.

The further you go into the kingdom the more you spread the kingdom it is not something that possible to keep to yourself it is to wonderful to not spread. When we take on the role of workers planters spreading the seeds of the kingdom one at a time well he isn't one for free labor your gorwth in him the deepeer truths and hidden wonders of the king trust me I already have more than enough to write a book but I want it all.

It is true we can always return to the Father, but it is not true that every believer will ultimately be saved.

2Pe 3:17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;

Heb 3:12-14 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "TODAY," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,

Heb 10:29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

Heb 6:4-8 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

We are God's field, but if we bear weeds, not fruit, we will end up burned.

Is that why apostasy will never come? What is apostasy if not a falling away of the faithful?
Apostasy is of the false church that looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but isn't a duck.
It's a wolf.
But it is in sheep's clothing. And it will be the influence of this false church that many Christians in the beginning will adhere to, like the false heretical theology of Arminianisn. This is another gospel. When Paul said this in Galatians he was speaking about Judaizers who followed him and taught believers in Christ circumcision. But this is the nature of apostasy. It looks and feels like authentic but it is false.
Jesus said:

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Mt 24:24.

And it is not possible.

Understand this is a prophecy to and for Israel first, and also to the Greek (believers).
All Biblical prophecy is to and for Israel first. The Lord's prayer is a "Jewish" prayer, not necessarily a Church prayer. But it is applicable to the Church.

It is true we can always return to the Father, but it is not true that every believer will ultimately be saved.
God does not lie.

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. Jn 10:28–30.
2Pe 3:17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;
That happens. But it does not last.
Heb 3:12-14 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "TODAY," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. Understand the Scripture is written TO and FOR the "Jews" (Israel).
Understand it in this context first before attempting to apply it to the Church Age.
We are God's field, but if we bear weeds, not fruit, we will end up burned.
God is a God of Restoration.

You appeal to the elect by many distincts? Why so many? The word "elect" is choice distinction.

There is only one elect of God.
Israel.
Not elect to salvation.
Christianity is only Completed Judaism.
It being complete rather than incomplete, Christianity, the church, is the one saved (elect) people of God going all the way back to Abraham and the patriarchs (Ro 11:16), the one olive tree of God's people of both OT and NT saints (Heb 11:39, 12:22-23).

Before Abraham. Adam believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness just like every single member of the family of God.

Not elect to salvation.

God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Deuteronomy 7:7–9 (KJV 1900): 7 The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: 8 But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Romans 11:26–29 (KJV 1900): 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

God says differently.

Without Israel there is no Church.

1 Chronicles 28:8 (KJV 1900): 8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

The Times of the Gentiles shall end and God will turn His attention again towards His Chosen people Israel. Elijah will come and turn the hearts of the people back towards God.

Revelation 11:3–6 (KJV 1900): 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

Romans 11:1–2 (KJV 1900): I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.

Christianity is only Completed Judaism.

Romans 11:18–21 (KJV 1900): 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

What about those before Israel?
Adamic Covenant?
Noahic Covenant?
Abrahamic Covenant?
How about the Trinitarian Covenant between the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit?
You know, the one from the foundation (creation) of the world? A lamb was slain before God created anything. That Covenant?
