Explain James 1:13 in view of Matthew 4:1

Absolutely not.

Need to get back to the true meaning of the word “devil”. It means “false accuser”
Satan means “adversary”

A false accuser or adversary can be someone of your own household. Just as the scripture says.

To whom was the Lord Jesus speaking to in the beginning of Matthew 4?

To whom was the Lord Jesus speaking to in the beginning of Matthew 4?
In order for Jesus to be “tempted in all ways as we are” it had to be some man or men who had come to him to falsely accuse or prove him of being who he said he was.
It was most likely the same ones who had went first to John to question John about who he was.
These were those who had said to John that they were sent by certain leaders of the Jews to determine who was who or who was claiming to be who.

We have further confirmation that the devil (false accuser) were Jews by the fact that we are told that the devil would return to Jesus at a more opportune time.

The first appearances of the false accuser questioned Jesus about being the son of God. He said “if you be the son of God” do this and do that.

The more opportune time for the false accuser to return to Jesus was when Jesus was on the cross. He said the same things again. “If you be the son of God” do this or that.

The false accusers of the believers were the unbelieving Jews.

You show that you do not believe the Bible when it says Satan tempted him or when it says that it was the devil speaking. But you are off topic. Get back to the OP.

How do you distinguish whether it’s a superhuman person devil tempting you or just the desires of your flesh?

Please explain this as I would think we’d all be very interested to know.

The simple truth is that the devil and Satan is nothing more than a personification of the desires of the flesh which led to sin and death.
And anyone acting as a false accuser or adversary to truth is a devil or a Satan.

Anyone with true knowledge of the Scripture knows there is only one true God and the gods of unbelievers are false gods.

The next post that tries to force the OP off topic with this subject will be deleted.

Fred,
Levi has completely changed the OP topic to promote his JW view and those posts are being deleted.
