Any gift of God can and has been abused and used to deceive mankind if used to excess, or on the wrong occasion, or for the wrong purpose. Those who hold forth on strong drink should give equal attention to the abuse of other gifts as well. Food is a big one. So are pharmaceuticals. Those who are deceived by these means when used wrongly also end up dead.
