Are you born again ? Then here you are...

Christ's Church is founded upon HIMSELF, not Peter!

Matt. 16:18 (NASB) 18 And I also say to you that you are [1] Peter, and upon this [2] rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.

  1. Matthew 16:18 Gr Petros, a stone
  2. Matthew 16:18 Gr petra, massive rock formation; bedrock
Peter is just a stone; whereas, the Lord Jesus Christ is the massive bedrock upon which the Church is founded.
Why is Peter even mentioned?
Why does Jesus change His name?
Why does Jesus say Peter is blessed?
Why does Jesus give Peter the keys of the kingdom (jurisdictional authority)
Why does Jesus give Peter power to bind and loose?
Why does scripture say God chose Peter? Acts 15:7
What does Peter standing up signify? Acts 1:15 & 15:7

I’ll wait!

Here's a question for you.

Do you believe you can become one with God the same way Jesus was?

If you keep on posting verses without context it is obvious you will be confused and therefore confuse other people.
I typed context in the Bible search: nothing found
All scripture (73) books are inspired says nothing about context

But I forgot the Bible out of context is “catholic” the Bible in context it’s “Protestant”
Thanks

If you googled "context in the Bible" and found nothing at all, I would suggest you might just be lying.

Lying is a sin.

Paul tells Timothy to search the scriptures like the Bereans, and to divide them properly. That means context.

Catholics such as yourself probably aren't sophisticated enough to honestly divide scriptures, and of those that do, who happen to be massively educated in the Catholic system, they aren't demonstrating that they have been born again anyway.

As an example for you,

The Bible says that Jesus travelled with his mother, his disciples AND his brethren. If Mary was a perpetual virgin then the inclusion of the word "Brethren" in John's Gospel is completely superfluous.

Sorry, did you want me to repeat it?

Salvation is not a closed operation. It is
past = by faith and the sovereign new birth (Eph 2:8-9, Jn 3:3-7),
present = in sanctification (1 Pe 1:9) through obedience in the Holy Spirit which leads to righteousness leading to holiness (Ro 6:16, 19), and
future = resurrection (Ro 8:22-23, 13:11).

It's all one package, if you have the first, you have them all.
You said the first moment you believed you are saved rom 13:11 says it’s nearer than first believed how is that possible?
The salvation of Ro 13:11 is the resurrection, as in the future salvation of my post above.
2 pet 1:11 says the church community has to bring you into union not by your own actions
How?
Please
It says no such thing. It says if we make our calling and election sure by producing the fruits Peter is commending, we will receive a rich welcome into eternal life at the final judgment (Mt 25:46).

Most of that is incorrect.

  • Salvation from sin is necessary because we (individually and collectively) have disobeyed God and sinned. If sin had not occurred there would be no need for salvation from sin.
Accurate.
  • Human nature has changed. We were once good, unashamed, and sinless and now everyone (individually and collectively) is not-good, sinful, and ashamed.
Inaccurate. when you version of "Adam" was "Good", he tossed God under to bus, and went with satan against God's command. so what changed, other than Adam and Eve dying spiritually, same as WE do when we sin.
  • James 1 was writtien in a cursed world about cursed conditions. Eve had no not-good desires by which she might be dragged away and enticed. Neither did Adam. God Himself declared the very good (thereby precluding anything not-good within them). The moment they disobeyed God they knew something previously unknown and that memory never left them. They were changed.
Interesting fiction, but you did get ONE THING RIGHT. They had been spiritually alive, and then they became spiritually DEAD. But their HUMAN NATURE never changed.

Jn 3:5 says you cannot enter the kingdom
The king and kingdom came 2000 years ago the new covenant church
2 pet 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Rom 13:11 salvation nearer that first believed

First believed is salvation

It can’t be both!
Thanks

This is classic obfuscation!

I tell you what, you deal with the clear point that I made (if you can) and I'll respond to this grocery list of questions.

I asked you the question?

I have been birthed in the Spirit, how would I know this?
Cos the church performs this function
Jn 3:22
Jn 4:1
Baptismal regeneration new creation in Christ put on christ

Effects of faith & baptism!

Ez 36:25-27 washed in baptism, with a new heart and the Spirit
Matt 28:19 faith & baptism
Jn 3:5 born again in baptism
Mk 16:16 faith & baptist
Acts 2:38 repentance & baptism
Acts 8:36-38 faith & baptism
Acts 22:16 baptism washes away sin
Rom 6:3 died with Christ
Col 2:12 risen with Christ
1 cor 12:13 baptized into the church
Gal 3:27 by baptism put on Christ
2 Tim 1:10 eph 2:1 and 5 brought to life
2 cor 5:17 new creation
Eph 1:13 eph 4:30 sealed by the Holy Spirit
Eph 4:5 one faith, one baptism
Eph 5:26 faith and baptism
Titus 3:5 baptismal regeneration
1 pet 1:2 washed in Christ’s blood

Cos the church performs this?.

Whose the church ?

John 10:26 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

John 8:47 Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

Romans 8

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
