Now since sin had not yet occurred on earth the concepts of murder or stealing had no meaning to Adam or Eve so God put the test of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They still had a choice to obey, they were not held back from sinning but being in Gods love they had no need for anything in sin. God tells Man the results of going beyond Gods authority and into that of another, of making this choice which results in the wages of sin.

15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

This is why Satan fights so hard to wipe of the evidence of creation and do away with peoples belief in it as it sets Gods domain and the Sabbath his mark for all time. All the other commandments man could hide his sin or keep their sin from being uncovered so God put a clear mark showing his standard, so to follow the Sabbath it had to be evident, a clear sign to others of our love for God.

So a change to Gods mark of authority has much more than one would think. For what we see today that man does to brings his standard or flag and plants it to claim the domain of their King or Country so that all can see their declaration of authority, so the Sabbath at creation was Gods flag. I would offer, I think it is the reason why we are lovingly warned of those who would seduce those born again, to believe we need dying mankind as oral traditions of venerable to men to teach us and not all things written in the law and prophets (sola scriptura) First John 1: informs us of the will of God

We see the mark of the beast has to do with God's law, keeping His commandments. While the Sabbath is central in it, as a "sign" of his people who keep his law, we then have the text in verse 10 which says 'If any man worship the beast and his image' it leads to the mark of the beast.'
So we see it is about worship, which points to the Sabbath.

Jesus did not rest on the Sabbath, Jesus worked on the Sabbath, Jesus repudiated the Jewish abusive practices of the Sabbath and their many additions to God's word, intent, and example, and Jesus unequivocally stated it was good to do good on the Sabbath. The word "sabbath is mentioned only once in the epistolary and that verse unequivocally states the exact opposite of all these many ops on the subject.

Colossians 2:16-17
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day — things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Yeah, it does. Adventism arose in the 19th century as part of the restoration movement - an attempt to restore what was supposedly a corrupt Church to New Testament standards. The problems within those restoration movement sects are numerous. Every one of those sects was selective in their reading and interpretation of the New Testament. In the case of the SDA they emphasized the Old Testament and gospels to the exclusion of the epistolary. In other words, they denied much of God's word in both letter, principle, and example. They did not "restore" anything. They made things worse. They made things more legalistic. The SDA, along with the other restoration movement sects (CoC, Brethren, Darbyites - because it is not fair to the Brethren to associate them all with Darby, JWs and LDSes) all held two things in common: 1) the Church is corrupt and they are the pure version, and 2) earth is going to hell in a hand basket any day now and Jesus is coming to take us all off the planet because the Church hasn't done its job to rescue it from become further corrupt and impotent. The SDA began as the Millerites and came into prominence following what they call The Great Disappointment. The GD was a failed prediction and every single teaching associated with the predictions surrounding the GD were, likewise, ALL false teachings.

The SDA managed to maintain many core, orthodox views long-held by Christendom but their ecclesiology and eschatology was a radical departure form orthodoxy and they left that orthodoxy under the auspices (guise) of restoration. Now, almost 200 years later they haven't restored anything. They've contributed tomaking things worse, not better. The Church is now more divided, more fragmented, more sectarian and it is all largely due to the restoration movement in which Seventh Day Adventism played a part.

The truth pertaining to the Sabbath is that the sabbath and Sabbaths foreshadowed Jesus resurrected and ascended and because he has resurrected and ascended and now reigns we have liberty to honor one day above another if we so desire as long as we 1) do so unto God and d2) do not judge others. Alternatively, we ALSO have liberty to honor all days alike as long as we do so in accordance with the exact same standards: honor God and don't judge those who do it differently.

That was the practice of the Church in the era of the epistolary. Had the SDA wanted to return to that practice the very thing they would avoid is requiring anyone and everyone to limit themselves to a one-day sabbath. The Sabbath from Creation was a special day that was made for man and stamped a seal of Gods authority here that could not be denied.
o understand the importance of Gods Sabbath as it pertains to his authority we begin at the first day of creation.
Genesis 1:1-5
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning were the first day.
Thus the first day finished and we are told that Jesus was here with God as part of the trinity and yet he didnt make any claim for this day or mark it as a special day for man. Now contrast this with the way the seventh day is set aside:

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested [a] from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

So the creator of the heavens and earth rested from all his work on the seventh day and blessed it and made it holy. Was he tired after all those days of creation, of course not. He was making a exclamation point on his creation that it was his, and to drive the point home he set his standard or mark on it, the seal of his authority. This seal or mark. much as one see's on the front of stands of world leaders, was set on this planet to show his domain, lay claim, delineate his area of authority. Nothing was made on the sabbath so there was no reason for him to create it except as a gift which he had the power and authority to do. God placed His presence in the Sabbath by resting on that day. He "sanctified" the Sabbath, i.e., separated it, set it apart for holy use or purpose. He, not man, made the seventh day then made it the Sabbath and made it Holy and gave it to us.

Now since sin had not yet occurred on earth the concepts of murder or stealing had no meaning to Adam or Eve so God put the test of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They still had a choice to obey, they were not held back from sinning but being in Gods love they had no need for anything in sin. God tells Man the results of going beyond Gods authority and into that of another, of making this choice which results in the wages of sin.

Genesis 2:15-17
15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

This is why Satan fights so hard to wipe of the evidence of creation and do away with peoples belief in it as it sets Gods domain and the Sabbath his mark for all time. All the other commandments man could hide his sin or keep their sin from being uncovered so God put a clear mark showing his standard, so to follow the Sabbath it had to be evident, a clear sign to others of our love for God.

So a change to Gods mark of authority has much more than one would think. For what we see today that man does to brings his standard or flag and plants it to claim the domain of their King or Country so that all can see their declaration of authority, so the Sabbath at creation was Gods flag. It shows who put his standard on this earth at creation and claimed it as his own and put a sign of his authority on it, and who the usurper is when it comes to worship.

Gentiles violate God and His Word by changing His sabbath from one day to another which is sin. This effectually makes Gentile Christianity a religion not a relationship.

Do you know that God is going to judge Gentiles and Gentile Christians by the Law of Moses? If as Christian, you do not obey His Law, then you are in deep doo-doo of sin and God will judge you when the books are opened. True Biblical Christianity is only Completed Judaism. By the things that were decided on and changed during the Constantinian church's handling of affairs did more to remove Biblical Christianity's connection to its Hebrew roots thus creating a new false religion that takes from the Jews what belongs to them from God through Covenant and has possessed it as their own. This new Gentile Christianity ceased to be a relationship between Israel's Messiah and His people and becomes a new religion with false idols and their guiding rules developed through councils and edicts. Where are the Hebrews? It's their covenants, it's their prophecies and promises given them by God. Why the antisemitism by the Constantinian church? Do you know that when God sits on His throne at Jerusalem and Israel is finally in possession of their land that God will cleanse all Gentiles from their land? Better fresh up on the Jewish feasts because when this happens all surviving Gentiles every year will go up to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and if they do not go up God will punish them by holding back the rains upon their agriculture and they will as a result starve? It is these Gentiles that when Satan is let out of his prison gathers together all Gentiles and make an attempt at invasion of the Promised Land but fire from heaven consumes them all.
Gentile Christians will be part of this attempt. Gentiles won't be living in the Promised Land so they will have their own land outside of Israel.

See that map? These boundaries were set by God in Genesis 34. This whole real estate will be populated by Hebrews/Jews - no Gentiles. This means any Gentile Christians that become saved before the Lord's return will liove in land outside the Promised Land and will be the Gog and Magog that will attempt invasion against Israel, but fire comes down out of heaven and consumes them all.

The camp of the saints is Israel (where no Gentile lives.)
