Of course - the demonic can speak to / deceive / oppress (sometimes cripplingly) CHristians as easily as anybody else - paticularly if the CHristian "Gives place" to them (Eph 2:27). The Biblical term is daemoizimai" - to be oppressed by demonic entities. "Possession (in terms of "ownership") can'thappen because we (christians) are in Jesus.

NOTE: the visible church (including the full-gospel churches who SHOULD know better) tend to AVOID the whole subject of "Demonology" with fear, and confusion, so HELP in cases of severe oppression can be hard to come by.

Demons do not occupy the spirit of a son of God because the Holy Spirit resides there as you stated. They can and do reside in the psuche...soul....it can be in the emotions from past experiences and it can occur via unrealized spiritual attack.
